"I was working on a project and the monitor went dead as dead can be. A business owner and friend mentioned SurpluComputers and showed me the website from his PC. I debated there was a catch that never in my life did I ever see such low prices. He challenged me to purchase, I thought he was joking, but I did. I also went to Best Buy and purchased a monitor/17". A few days later I recived a Apple/Sony Trinitron 20", and i opened the box, and the outter monitor casing was busted all up. I called my partner, he came over, challenged me to call then, I did. When I manager got on the phone, almost immediately, requested I plug the monitor in, and try it. I did, it worked perfectly find, and the manager said keep it now, and I laughed shaking my head.. a slight pause ... and the manager said, ok sorry bout that had to get something out of the way. We are sending you a new monitor, "A Sun Microsystem 21'in Monitor", yes, for FREE! Isane, no... That is the reality of SurplusComputers "A+/A1" Professionals.

I bought from surplus computers on many ocasions the past year and must say everything i have got is in very good working order.I have had a couple boxes that had dings in them. (which hence the name "surplus") is bound to happen. but every item i have got from mother boards to hard drives has never had any dents and has always worked better than things i have bought at best buy. so on a scale from 1-10 i would deff give Surplus Compters a 10. customer service wise and product."

automated shoping cart needs improvement. suggest a final confirmation page making certain that coupons, credits, shipping choice, final costs, etc. are all in place prior to finalization.
Pricing for products is good.
Shipping cost appears high ($9 min.), but on a multi-item order actual costs is low on an average or add on basis. I set up a seperate spread sheet to calculate the add on shipping cost and was dumbstruck how the average costs plumeted.
To boost sales volumn per order, I suggest you use a transparent design for the shopping cart form. Add a column for shipping cost (default gound method), rank the most expensive to ship items first. Add descriptive fields that show average shipping cost per item and per pound.
Web site navigation needs improvement. A third party analysis is in order to discover the many errors of ommision. For example some pages list modems, but do not show all modems available."
