"I placed my order on November 15. System Mods sent me tracking number when it shipped so I was pleased so far. However, when UPS delivered it on November 23 they put it in a location where it was destroyed by my dogs. I called UPS minutes later and told them what happened. They admitted seeing the dogs and then accepted liability for the damaged package. The way it was supposed to work out was that after starting the claim process I would contact System-Mods to let them know the situation, UPS would credit System-Mods for the $62 total and then System-Mods would in turn credit me back for $62 because UPS said they could not deal directly with me. Right after I hung up the phone with UPS I called System-Mods to let them know the situation and that I had started the claim process.
This is where the trouble begins. After sitting on hold for 30 minutes I got an answering machine. I left a message and several more the following days. No response. I then filled out the RMA form on their website telling them of the UPS claim and two days later … nothing. Then I filled it out again. That day I got an email saying my Nov. 15 order had been shipped. These guys are on top of it. Finally I got a response the next day from the RMA department saying that it would be looked into ASAP, nothing more. That was 3 weeks ago.
I have since then sent several emails to almost every department they have listed on their contact page and have got a total of zero responses. So now I am sitting here with a broken chip that UPS is willing to reimburse me for, but System-Mods won’t even respond to my UPS claim, or any notification of it. In my earlier emails I suggested that they just send me a new chip instead of my $62 once UPS credited them for that amount. One would think that they would like an additional sale, but common assumptions don’t apply to System-Mods.
In my experience System-Mods’ customer service is a joke and virtually non-existent. I have never encountered a business that would simply not respond to its customers. You can take a chance and order from System-Mods and maybe your order will arrive and function, no problems, but if you have to deal with customer service, good luck.
System-Mods: If all you’re going to do is give me some BS response to this, don’t respond at all, I would expect nothing more.
UPDATE: It should be mentioned that on January 3, 2005 I received a surprise package from System-Mods containing a new X3. Better late than never I guess."

"Well all i can say is that i am dissapointed with their service at first I wanted a premodded system but they took a month and still hadnt got to it and they hadnt even started on it so i said i will go ahead and install it myself but then it took another month to get the mod chip by itself but in the end i got it. to their credit i did place an order when the x3 came out and they were busy.
SOme of their customer service reps arent the best but if you can get the right ones they are pretty helpfull
Altogether i would order from them again but they need to get better at dealing with errors and problems and non-standard orders "
"This is a follow-up to the last review I gave on this company. My order finally arrived, with the replacement for the xbox I sent in to be modified. My xbox was lost in the process. I was strongly assured by my csr that I would be receiving a NEW xbox to replace my lost unit. I was also assured that it would ship overnight. What I got was LIES. I received a refurbished, heavily marred, noisy, and used xbox built in 2001, nothing close to what I sent in and definitely not a new xbox. It was shipped standard UPS ground instead of overnight, which took a week to get to me. To their credit, I was given an upgrade X3 mod chip instead of the X2 I ordered, but this does not come close to compensating me for the THREE MONTHS it took them to screw me. Yes, they did what they were obligated to do. No, I am not a satisfied customer. I was placated, manipulated, dismissed, ignored, and finally heavily frustrated and disappointed. I will never use this vendor again, and I will never recommend them to anyone for anything other than the most basic of on-line retail services. The reply below is to the first post I made here. I was satisfied with Nolga's reply, but that was for a new xbox replacement. I didn't get what I was expecting to get. Please take any assurances this vendor gives you with a very large grain of salt. They're not above shady dealings. When your xbox is STOLEN by an agent of the company, you expect the company to go out of their way to make amends. This - did - not - happen in my case!
