"My general experience has been that most of the staff are very caring but they are also stretched very thin. There are some exceptional teachers there but then there are some who appear to be very disinterested with what they're doing. The children appear safe and incidents within classrooms are handled appropriately. I am glad they encourage the children to be active outdoors and in the STEAM lab. Overall my son appears happy and connected and that's what matters most to me."
"In recent years, my experience has been that the kids are shuffled around a lot. The teachers are hit or miss; some really love working with the kids and do a great job as educators but you can definitely tell how disinterested some are and are more like glorified babysitters. The communication is hit or miss, sometimes I get to talk to teachers at the end of the day; most don't know how my son's day was because they just got them for the afternoon or were not with them the whole day. Most of the time I only hear about if my son acted out or if they need a signature for their incident reports, not the cool things I know he is also doing. The management staff always respond when I have questions, but when I do ask it's like I'm bothering them. I like that they have a nice playground to play on and they do spend time outside and try to do special events for holidays. The hours are great but I haven't seen the benefit of the tuition hike."
"The director and assistant director are extremely unprofessional and not friendly."
"Wonderfully attentive and responsive! Our child loves it here! Miss Jenna Piscitella is an amazing"
"The teachers are incredible! Management on the other hand is very 'hit or miss' regarding their level of interest each day. Often times can be unfriendly and each morning you never know what the mood will be."
"Overall, I like the school. The current teachers in the room are fantastic. However, prior teachers we haven't loved as much and didn't feel like they had a connection with our child. The lack of staffing can be a problem, but we do understand given the circumstances of the current world, but it does make it difficult. The previous director was very bubbly, greeted families and children at the door, the current is more reserved, but communicates well and meets our needs when we reach out to her. Overall, I think with the right teachers, my child very much enjoys going and it's nice to know is licensed and she has the ability to interact with other children her age."
"When there was a different director we we were acknowledged and greeted by a positive attitude, my concerns were taken into considerations and responded to in a timely manner. Not the case here at all. Love the teachers!!"
"All the staff is great with all the children even if they're not in their class they know the other children"
"Not enough staff. Every morning we get a text asking to keep our child home. Several times a week I have to stay in the class to maintain ratios. Ms Amanda and Somali are amazing teachers. Some others like Ms Caylee seem to be equivalent to a hired babysitter and less professional with less focus on teaching and development. Administration hasn’t been great in the past with resolving issues but seem to be better now. Prices are very high but not uncommon for daycare. Overall, just need to hire and retain more people and focus hiring on teachers, not teenagers."
"High turn over with staff."
"Tutor time has a great facility but is lacking consistent staffing. This makes it hard for parents to rely on early morning care"
"We love the school and teachers. Staffing has been the worst issue in the last two years (as it is an issue most everywhere). The staff is expected to have degrees but are only working for less than $20/hour to take care of 5-10 children all day long. Individuals can go work for the same amount of money if not more elsewhere where they do not have to care for children all day long. Upper management needs to understand that they are losing quality teachers and potential candidates due to the pay that they're offering. It takes certain individuals who want to be around children and teach them yet upper management is not seeing this, therefore, there has been such a HUGE amount of turnover and it's hurting the children who get attached to their caregivers."
"Overall experience has declined since my daughter moved on to K and my son has remained. Prices increase, hours shortened, staffing shortages, poor communication from managementLove the teachers!! However they are underpaid!!"
"Overall it’s favorable and I do believe most staff show care an concern for my child. The staff/room switching and staff shortages cause concern though, as I feel that having predictable routine and familiar faces helps my child feel more comfortable attending."
"Need more focus on writing skills"
