"My general impressions about our Tutor Time are wonderful. Especially since Ms Tiffany has taken over as director, I have seen an overall improvement. I love the enriching activities that my daughter's teachers plan for her each day. My only suggestion at this time is to improve the classroom facilities: my daughter's EPS classroom is very well loved. It could definitely use a fresh coat of paint, perhaps some new tables and chairs and shelves for the toys, and the floors could use a good deep clean. For the price we pay per week, I would liek to see these types of improvements."
"The staff are very professional and are always friendly and accommodating. They know each child by name and greet you upon arrival and departure. On a day I had an unexpected crisis I had to leave my toddler there later than anticipated and hadn’t remembered to have an afternoon snack in her bag. I really appreciated that the staff provided a snack so she could eat with the other kids and didn’t criticize me for forgetting. My toddler looks forward to going there and waves goodbye to me when she reaches for her teachers. I can tell she is comfortable there and she gets the space to explore her surroundings and play with other children. It's reasonably priced and I would recommend them. The toddler teachers have been great so far."
"This has been a great school. People are warm and friendly and seem to sincerely care about my child. I do wish there was more playing and talking with the kids throughout the day and that my child could have the same 2 teachers throughout the day for consistency. My child does have the same 2 teachers each morning but in the afternoon she has different teachers switching in and out every couple of days which I think will make it hard for her to build the connections I want her to build with her caregivers and feel a sense of predictability"
"Staff and teachers are very approachable and friendly. Would hope they provide more learning activities and interact more with the kids."
"I love the school bc is save , and the have grate program, everything is organized , clean and everyone in the school is friendly and very helpful ,in the more important my children's they like"
"Please see my previous comments. Our Director is new so I don't feel strongly one way or the other about her leadership abilities. I hope she brings fresh ideas to the school and company. To reiterate, the TEACHERS work so hard and care so much about our children. If I didn't have such an open, honest and positive relationship with them, I would not enroll my children here."
"Tutor time has been overall a good experience for me and my child. Approachable staff and administration. Always available. We have worked together on issues/concerns regarding my child. There are definitely areas where I would like to see some improvement but at the same time I am glad to have found Tutor Time and to have the opportunity to send my kid here."
"Great environment for the kids, the staff and teachers are very friendly and accomodating."
"Very very positive until recently. Very disappointed in our district manager as well"
"Great place All the teachers care about the kids and it shows"
"Jen is super responsive. The three of them (Jonathan and Yisel) make a wonderful team."
"My wife and I could not be happier with our experience at Tutor Time of Norwalk. We have had children in this center for 6 years, and the consistency of care has been outstanding. Every single teacher we've had has been caring and diligent, from the infant room all the way up to 4 year old room.
The leadership of this school is similarly outstanding. The director and assistant directors are professional, caring, communicative, and seemingly always in a good mood.
There is an app with constant updates and also a live video link to your child's classroom: full transparency at all times.
The location and hours are great too, but first and foremost this is a school that cares about children and working parents.
I'm so glad we picked this school."
"Great Experience!!! My one year old daughter and 5 year old son currently attend Tutor Time in Norwalk. My son has been attending there since he was 4 months old up until tomorrow (he just turned 5) since he on his way to kindergarten! I love Tutor Time and only have great things to say about them. We have developed very strong friendships there. I completely trust and love all of the teachers, staff and management. They truly love the children and have definitely prepped my son for full time school. He is very artistic, can count, spell, write and socialize well...all of which I attribute to tutor time teachers. My daughter is well adjusted and happy because of everyone in the infant room! I continue to bring my children there everyday because they look forward to school and I can have piece of mind while I am at work for 9 hours a day, 5 days a week. I previously worked in Norwalk and I contine to bring my children to the Norwalk location even though my job moved to Stamford, which added on an extra 30 minutes to my commute each way. I am happy I chose Tutor Time and have had a great experience during the 5 years I have been bringing my son there!"
"My worst nightmare happened at tutor time in Norwalk when my daughter came home with unexplained injuries. When she started she would cry inconsolably when we dropped her off. When I watched her on their video app, I noticed she wouldn't be comforted. I also noticed that she spent hours in the crib despite only napping for an hour. The teacher was cold towards her and my daughter seemed specifically scared of this teacher. There was a lot of neglect and isolation. When she was picked up by this specific teacher, it was without empathy. I saw my daughter fearfully retreat into the crib when she was approached by her. I saw my daughter swat at her face and the teacher then took her to an area of the room that isn't visible on camera. When I tried to screenshot or record what I saw, it disables the app. I called the assistant director and spoke with him about my concerns. That evening when I went to bathe my daughter, I noticed multiple abrasions on her chest, armpit, back and puncture wounds on her hand. I sent an email to the assistant director and met with him and the site director in the morning. When I undressed my daughter and showed them her injuries they stated they felt they occurred by the teacher picking her up and being scratched by her long nails accidentally. There was never an incident report made. It's impossible that my daughter was scratched harmlessly with her clothes on leaving a total of 9 marks on her left side and two on her right hand. There is no way that my daughter scratched herself nor another child. I am a ER physician and their lack of concern is appalling. This was not an accident. I believe Tutor time is not naive to instances similar to what occurred with my daughter based on their response. They are not a safe facility for any child to attend and I definitely would warn anyone not to do so."
"Overall, I have only had positive experiences and have been happily surprised at the amount of communication and accessibility of the teacher considering covid restrictions. The only obstacle I face is being able to afford it. It provides top notch service so I understand why it is at a higher price level, but it is more than any other place I’ve looked."
