"I wanted to give an update on the service that The Gourmet Depot has provided with regard to my order which was placed in November and apparently got lost in transit. Tim with The Gourmet Depot contacted me and told me that they would issue me credit for the item I ordered and reship the item free of charge since I had waited so long for the appliance part. I really appreciate the way they have handled this. It is always annoying when orders don't ship smoothly, but The Gourmet Depot has definitely "won me over" by the way they handled this bungled order. "Appliance Sales and Service Company reminds me of the America I grew up in. Even though I am only 42! We sent in our Cusinart toaster for repair with not much hope of seeing it again in this disposable society. It has been discontinued but matches our classic O'keefe and Merritt stove. Much to our surprise and pleasure they were able to fix it and returned it to us within two weeks! Bravo and keep up the good work!

"I would buy again from this store. I placed an order on Dec 22 2009, my credit card was charged the same day and it was sent a couple of days later. I received the product many weeks after because there was a mix up at the postal service and it was sent to the wrong address (not the store's fault)."
"Worst customer service ever. I called them to ask when the replacement coffee carafe I had ordered would arrive because it had been a while and I hadn't received any kind of notification about shipping. I had already emailed to ask, but no one answered my email. The person I spoke to was horrible. He said they didn’t actually have the carafe, it was back ordered and when I asked why they didn’t tell me that when I ordered it he said they emailed me the next day. I checked my mail and just in case, I checked my junk mail and there was no email.
He asked me if I wanted to cancel the order and at that point that wasn’t the issue and he said something rude, and I said something back, my voice going up an octave. This happens when I get upset. He said he wasn’t going to talk to me if I was going to scream, which I hadn’t done of course. I asked if he had a boss and he said he was the boss. When I said I wasn’t happy with his service he said he didn’t care! He actually said that. “I don’t care.”
So don’t shop here, because they officially don’t care!"
"I use a Fagor pressure cooker, which has a pressure release valve that must be removed and cleaned. Mine ended up in the garbage disposal. I ordered a new one from The Gourmet Depot Co of San Francisco.
The price of the part was about the same as on the Fagor site, but The Gourmet Depot had a US Post Office Shipping option of $3.50, substantially less than the UPS charges from Fagor.
I ordered from The Gourmet Depot and received the correct part promptly. I will billed correctly."
