Customer Disservice

"I placed an order for spray paint which I couldn't find in the stores anymore. I followed up with a phone call to make sure that the manufacturer still produced this and while I was promptly called back, that's the only good thing I can say. They couldn't tell me if this product will still manufactured and claimed that's how "special orders" work. They took my money and said it would be over one week to see if the order was filled. If it wasn't, then I would be issued a refund. What? I asked several questions, wondered why that wasn't on their web page and that's when the customer service representative became loud, obnoxious, sarcastic and began mocking me. I told her to "f" off and she screamed at me, kept mocking me and the last thing I heard when I was ending the call was that "YOUR ORDER IS CANCELLED!" Thank you. I have been refunded my money and will NEVER do business with this manure pile of a company again. I suggest people look elsewhere for their products because they are overpriced, if they even carry them which the employees don't even know for sure."

Wow--Actually filled the order! And fast!!!

"Ordered two rattle cans of Hammerite (hammered finish in red) . Only AFTER I needed to check the order for a ship date did something seem wrong. I couldn't log in; No such user/ password etc.

So did a quick review search to see if this was expected. And boy howdy...and only then saw at the BBB how they rate an "F" oops.

I kissed my money goodby, So long $44

Then they sent A shipping confirmation--a label, at least had been created.
Then a second email showing it Actually Left The Dock. All with tracking number. hmmm
10-day turnaround and its here just now. *yay!!*

I'm not happy I can't log in to check this order. I'm okay that they're principally scammers who throw out just enough bird seed to keep us coming back. I did, after all, get my cans, well packed, timely and the Correct Ones. So, they get a good score. The box was well prepared with a nice invoice. This counts towards customer service in my books.

However, I'll Never Shop There again...but, thats just me.

I can't argue over the price per-can and I knew, ahead of time, shipping was padded. But, I agreed to those terms so, I can't complain. And...mostly...won't.

paint store forgot to send the paint. when i inquired, they cancelled my account

"i ordered a product from the paintstore. all went smoothly with the on-line transaction. 10 days later, i wondered where my shipment was. i went on line to track the package through my paintstore account but no tracking info was available with my order. When i inquired by email, they gave me a tracking number that revealed that the paint left their warehouse a few hours AFTER i inquired. in otherwords, they forgot to mail the paint and only mailed it when they learned of the mistake. When i asked for some break on the very expensive shipping charges, they cancelled my account without explanation. Trying to call, you just get a message machine... so although they boast the best customer service in the industry, my experience so far has been that they are the worst. (I still don't have the paint... nor a refund... nor an explanation.) my project remains on hold. "

"Expedited shipping took 7 days to get to USPS (and only after I emailed to get status, of course got no reply). It will arrive a day after the contractor leaves the state. Called to ask why such poor service, phone hours supposedly 8-5 EDT and no answer at 5:02 PM and none the next morning at 8:19 (canned announcement to call back during published hours). "

"I submitted an order for Old Masters Gel Stain in Pecan color after checking all the various paint stores in my local area. Nobody seemed to carry the Pecan color in a Gel Stain even those that carried Old Masters stains. After submitting my order I stumbled across all the negative reviews and figured I just got snake bitten. To my surprise I received email notification that my order was being shipped and on its way within two days. It arrived at my doorstep in 4 days from the date I placed the order. My only complaint is I agree with other customers that the shipping rate is steep. Shipping cost more than a pt. of stain. Other than that I would have to rate the handling of my order as excellent. Hopefully this merchant learned its lesson from all the negative reports and has turned its business around in delivering great customer service. "

"Do not order from them! It takes weeks for the order to arrive and some of the items were missing. They give you a credit but when they become available in the future you'll have to pay for shipping again. They don't update their website to say that an item is out of stock. Customer service is rude. "

"They will charge your account and mark the order being processed as soon as you place the order and once the order is in the being processed stage it can't be canceled. I ordered painting poles from Amazon and paint brushes on ebay the same day, received both and the order for five paint brushes from The Paint Store.com is still being processed. No email no back order notice nothing.
The shipping rating on Amazon is 75 percent positive that's bad. If I saw this site or check them out on Amazon I never would ordered from them.

"Terrible customer service-takes weeks to hear from anyone. Extremely high shipping that makes the cost of the items seem not to cheap after all. Also, the orders are shipped from all over the place so they come in randomly and not all as one package.

Don’t even try to return anything because they will take weeks to respond to you and then tell you that the return deadline is 14 days.

***Will NOT buy from again. **

" I'm from Malaysia and before i purchase in this store, im quite sceptical whether im choosing the right place to shop after viewing the above review which seems more on negative comments(i always seek any review across the web before shop in any website, but for this purchase i trust the info that i got from the painttalk forum even i read the bad reviews about this store from here). After i place my order i send them several email regarding my order but there are no any respond on it (i choose email rather than phone because its free and convenience for me compare if i phone them that will be more expensive as i in Malaysia). I start to believe those reviews are right. But four days after i place my order i received email from them telling me that all my item is shipped. I start to confident with them, even there are no reply for email i send to them which cause me dissatisfied and worry, they still process my order within four days which is fast and same as the service provided by prominent online retailer, Amazon.com (my benchmark is if we choose standard shipping during Amazon checkout process)

But that not the ending of my story, after check on the invoice that they send to me regarding the the shipped item, i found there are two item in my order is not shipped together as the item is unavailable and it will be backorder. I cant wait for the backorder as i already paid and want it as soon as possible. Earlier i found that email is not a practical way to communicate with them, so i decide to call them even i have to pay more on my phone bill :( as i'm making long distance call. With just one dial, somebody from there answering my call immediately. He introduced himself and i just making short introduction and telling about my problem on my order, in approx. 25 minutes my problem is solved. This guy who is responding on my call, help me to replace the item in my previous order with another item which i request over the phone and had ship it the next day. I really impress with the service that they given to me. It make the buying process simpler even i'm far away. The guy is who handle my case is helpful and flexible enough to solved any issue on order made. It makes me feel like im shopping in my own neigbourhood hardware store, easy to replace and flexible to deal with.

"This company is the most incompetent [if not dishonest] I have ever encountered. My order was missing a few items that were out of stock as well as a missing brush. When I called, they said the out of stock items would not be available. I asked if my CC had been credited for the amount of the unshipped items. Yes was the answer, but they lied. My account had not been credited. When I wasted more time calling again they said my account was now credited. However, they did not included the cost of the missing brush and the shipping cost I already paid for the unshipped items. What kind of company has to be asked before they credit an account for items not sent? They would have been happy to stick me with the entire bill, including out of stock items. This is no way to do business. Stay far away!!!"

"I ordered ~$80 of paint brushes from The Paint Store. Two of them arrived with bristles falling out like a balding mouse. I contacted the paintstore and they told me they would not take them back and if I was going to return them, for an exchange only, I would have to pay a 20% restocking fee and the shipping to have replacement products sent out. So, in the end, I would have to pay the cost of shipping to get the defective products to me, the cost to get them back, and the cost of replacement. Customer service was terrible. Alternately they suggested I contact the manufacturer."

"I ordered several quarts of paint from ePaintStore.com and was informed that shipping would be about $32. I was OK with that as I knew paint was heavy and I thought it might require special handling, etc.

After receiving my order (it took over a week to ship) I came to understand that the actual cost to ship was about $8!! I am OK with paying for packing and processing but they are clearly masking lower product prices with excessive shipping charges.

I don't like doing business with stores like that and I know many others don't as well so I wanted to share my experience.
