"I have never had a problem with this company. I have used it probably four different times and received satisfactory service and products. Was shocked to see all the negative review and wonder if they are for real or if something recently has changed. The company i see in these reviews is definitely not the company i have used with success many times (4) in the past"
"I hate being treated like I'm stupid. I run an online store, so I know very well that giving someone a shipping number that shows no activity at all does not mean it has shipped. It just means that you printed out a label. Trying to fool me into thinking it is the post office that's running slow won't work. Don't lie when I ask if you even have it in stock, and tell me you decanted it and it's being shipped. No, you don't, and no, it isn't. As a bonus, their customer service is pathetic. All around rude people who can't run a business."
"This company is 100% illegal. It is illegal to ship perfume through the mail. The owner of this company does not even have a business license. She is willing to do anything to promote her business including lying, cheating, and stealing to get by. Any positive reviews on this website are from the owner herself. She will stop short of nothing to make sure she stays in business. When dealing with this company be very careful because she will also ask the customer to lie about what is being shipped if you need to make a return."
"I had previously posted a negative review on this company because I thought I'd received an incomplete order. After corresponding with them I realized it was my error. A backlogged portion of my order actually shipped along with the original order, and it was so securely packed (very nice job on securely and attractively packing their product) I thought it was part of the initial order (which was a gift) and completely overlooked it. In short, nice selection, extremely (lol) good packaging, everything I expected and then some."
"I placed an order with them and when I did the site gave me an error message. I assumed the order did not go through, maybe something wrong with my credit card, so I used another one. Same thing happened. I contacted them about it, no reply, but when I went to my email later that day there were two different confirmations of my order. I quickly emailed them to tell them that I didn't want two orders, that I only wanted one. Never heard a word from them. I did check both credit cards and both charges are on the credit cards. I have not yet had a reply. That was on October 24th. Two weeks no reply."
"Its been a month ans still no items. Perfumed court has ignored all emails and I am now forced to file a dispute. Unprofessional sleezbags"
"This is my first time ordering from The Perfumed Court. Upon ordering, I received no e-mail confirmation whatsoever. The order was made 9/25 and was not shipped until 10/10. That's OUTRAGEOUS. I found some tiny print on their website stating that each order is hand picked/filled, but some sort of warning or notification that orders would take 2 weeks to fill would have been nice. I'll never do business here again, that kind of wait time without prior notice, and without any order confirmation isn't ethical for online business."
"I've ordered from the perfumed court twice. The first time it took two full weeks from the time I ordered until my order was shipped. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and thought I might have caught them at a bad time - it's a small business, so, I reasoned, I can't expect Amazon level shipping. Fast forward a year and there are a few more scents I can't find reasonable samples for in the store, and I turn back to the perfumed court for an order. Unbelievably, once again WEEKS go by between the business receiving my money, and the business shipping the samples. My order status sat at "unprocessed" the entire time. There is simply no excuse for that amount of prep or handling time. I finally sent an email asking if there was a problem with the order, and didn't receive a reply.
Buying something over the internet always requires a certain amount of trust. The business or person always gets your money before you get the product, which leaves the consumer vulnerable to fraud. Knowing this, most businesses establish that trust by communicating openly about any delays, and otherwise shipping things they have in stock in a timely fashion. I didn't spend much money with this business so I'm not upset about the cost in dollars I've spent with them - but they've lost my trust, which means they've lost all future dollars I would have spent with them had they been even minimally communicative about the long delay between my payment and their honoring of the transaction. "
"Terrible. I received another customer's order and promptly emailed (since there is no phone#) TPC to let them know of the mixup. After several days without a response I emailed again, over a week later I still haven't heard anything. Don't bother wasting your time on a company that obviously does not value their customers."
"Will never buy from again! Ordered 9/7 and didn't ship until 9/17!! AND ignored my inquiry altogether about my order. Too many other companies out there that actually WANT my business."
"I've ordered several samples from them, then a large decant...all vintage men's scents. I have not experienced any problems, in fact, my orders have been shipped quickly with tracking numbers provided via email.
I have no reason to believe that the products are anything but original and not "watered down":"
"I have been a long-time patron of TPC and, to be honest, I have never had a less-than very positive experience with them. The ladies at TPC took great care in bottling up the decants and wrapped them up securely in bubble wrap to protect against bumps and shocks. Very professional. No matter how big or small my order was, nothing was spared in ensuring that my order arrived safely, in good order. And shipping to my country was reasonable, just like any other reputable merchants I ordered from, including Ebay, Amazon, Book Depository, etc.
One advice I have for anyone who thinks they have been shortchanged: if you do not know how a particular perfume would smell like, it will not be reasonable for you to accuse them of 'watering-down' the fragrance, or sending you a fake.
TPC, IMHO, is an excellent source for trying out a perfume before committing hard-earned money to a new bottle, as well as a channel to build up an exquisite fragrance wardrobe."
"I have had the worst shopping experience online at the Perfumed Court. Took forever to confirm the order and then to ship the product. When I finally received the product over a month later. The product they had sent me was the wrong product. I contacted customer service and didn't receive a response for at least a week. They responded that I need to send the wrong product back before they would even consider sending me the product I ordered. I tried to mail the product but wasn't able to, as the post office doesn't allow cologne to be mailed. The Perfumed Court told me to lie on the the customs papers. I refused and they refused to ship the right product out to me. I never received what I paid for and they have stopped replying to my emails. Worst experience I've had when buying something online. I will never purchase anything from them again. I highly suggest that you do not either. The customer service is simply awful. You'll be lucky to receive a response from your email and if they respond you will be less than satisfied with what they have to say. "
"I've been buying from TPC for YEARS and I can't help but to think that something fishy's going on. Are they perfect? No. But I call BS on all these negative reviews. I think a competitor (or an angered / former / terminated employee) may have something to do with much of what's written below.
Are their prices high? With certain items, yes. But they have certain things NO ONE ELSE has. Other than that, though, neither me, nor anyone else I know have had any problems that we don't deal with from time to time with other retailers as well. Couple extra days to ship? What's the big deal? It's nothing that should get you wound up unless you have stratospherically unrealistic expectations.
"Watered down?" Oh, boy. That's a new one. A high percentage of people that are new to buying and smelling fragrances are fearful of receiving fake juice - this leads them to believe that everything they've bought is either "watered down" or fake. They then join Basenotes.com swearing that their bottle is fake. They're reassured by literally every single member on there that it's real and yet they STILL don't accept experienced opinions and so they wind up returning the bottle and probably wind up repeating the process a few more times. All this having nothing to do with the bottle, but with the lack of experience on the buyers end. This is what people reading these reviews should take into consideration.
To those wanting to buy from TPC, please, do yourselves a favor and be your OWN judge - don't listen to these BS reviews and don't listen to me either. In other words, don't take what one member says as being gospel, because you don't know what he knows, and he (or she) may not know jack..."
"I will never do business with tThe Perfumed Court ever again!!!!! I ordered perfum samples on 3/29/12 and they charged my charge card, but they never shipped my order!
