"I recently ordered an item of clothing from the Vermont Country Store. The clothing in question is a cargo coat which I ordered from this company and purchased on or about 1 February 2024. The Vermont Country Store supposedly used the United Parcel Service to send me the cargo coat. It was supposed to have arrived within about a week or so, but it never arrived. I finally called the Vermont Country Store a week ago. The employees of this company could not account for the whereabouts of the cargo coat. I reordered the cargo coat last week, but it still has not arrived. At this rate, I have no idea when or if the cargo coat will ever arrive. This is the first time that I have ever purchased a product from this particular company. I have absolutely no idea whether or not I will ever receive the cargo coat in question via a UPS delivery from the Vermont Country Store. This company should bolster it's quality control protocols. Perhaps I should have bought a cargo coat from Amazon. I would rather not use a Chinese-owned company like Amazon to buy products. However, if the Vermont Country Store is going to be this inefficient, then I will never again purchase anything from this company which thus far has had a dubious quality control record in its dealings with me. When I finally received the cargo coat, the zipper malfunctioned badly. I had to zip up the coat several times each time I put the jacket on. I would like to reiterate that the Vermont Company should bolster its logistical operations and the quality of its merchandise. "
"My wife ordered a size large shirt from this company and received a shower curtain with a invoice for someone else. I was told to return the curtain but they were out of the large shirt and they could send a size x-large and if it didn't fit I could return it which I did. The x-large arrived and was way too big so she called to see if they had gotten any more larges and was informed that had not nor had they gotten her order back from the person who it was shipped to. She was also told I could return the x-large BUT the shipping cost would be deducted from her refund. At no time during the call where they offered to send a X-large did they say anything about the return would be charged to her refund! She also sent then an email about this a week ago and have heard nothing. THEY MESSED THE ORDER UP, AND EXPECT SOMEONE ELSE TO PAY FOR THEIR ERROR!"
"i ordered candy for easter leaving 2.5 weeks for delivery. the order sat for a week before even being shipped. then when i called i got no attempt to resolve this issue. why would i order chocolate bunnies if im not receiving it before easter ? i did receive any email 6 days after saying there is a delay with no date of shipping. i dont get it ...why not be honest and communicate .. also i cant cancel or upgrade the shipping, even though the order hasnt shipped .. i ahve ordered from them before with no issues .. this really is unacceptable."
"I ordered three of the "Wraparound 7/8 Inch Telescoping Curtain Rod - Antique Brass - 24in x 48in" in late Dec. 2020 and they weren't shipped until early Feb. despite the website stating the merchandise was "in-stock". The curtain rods are of the highest quality and they are now installed in home. I received a review form from VCS after the delivery. I filled it out, detailing my disappointment with the delivery process. The same day I received a phone call from "Jill" of the VCS consumer relations dept.
Bottom line: VCS stood behind their oath of service. Not only was Jill highly effusive in her apologies for the tardiness of the delivery, but VCS credited my credit card with a substantial refund. I would not hesitate to shop at this store again!"
"The merchandise is of very good quality, but when there's a problem, LOOK OUT. It is very difficult or impossible to reach anyone in customer service. The phone never connects with a live person, but you need to listen to mundane advertisements over and over ad nauseam. Contacting by email is just as bad -- no response. So, you'd better be sure that what you're ordering is definitely something you WANT and don't need to do anything more than keep it. Otherwise you'll go nuts trying to reach the company.

I returned the slacks though USPS at my own expense and requested they be changed for another product. 4 months ago I called customer service and they had a record of receiving the slacks. I’ve called every month since then and have not received the shower curtain or a return. The reason I gave it 2 stars instead of one is that I’ve been a satisfied customer up til this incident. "
"I returned 2 pair of thermal socks, $39.90, using the postage return label from the Vermont store. It was tracked and picked up on 1/02/2020. To date, I have not been credited with my refund. More significantly, customer service claims that the store is "weeks" behind in processing returns. I do not recommend buying from this merchant."
"I am so happy you bought Country Curtains!!! I was so sad when they went out of business! My sheers (French Tuck Panels) arrived today and are beautiful!!! The quality is fabulous as usual! I have bought Country Curtains since the early 80’s. We just moved again and I needed sheers again! They look great! I wish I could attach a photo!

"This is the second time I have ordered something from them and it will be my last time. It takes forever to receive an item from them. Last time it was a month before my item arrived. I just check on my order that they said they shipped on the 10 and it now says shipping information unavailable. I could have driven there by now and picked it up myself, absolutely ridiculous. Never again. Do not order from this company, not if you actually want to receive the item. "
