"The Watchery sold me a new Movado on 7/15/2010. They now say that its not covered by the warranty - although they admit that it is a 2 year warranty. So far they have failed to stand behind their product - I would not do business with them again
Now they admit that the watch I purchased is covered by the warranty but that the repairs that need to be made dont fall within it's coverage. First they said they weren't responsible because they purchased the company after I bought the watch and are not bound by the warranty. Than they claim that I bought the watch more than 2 years ago - or outside the warranty period. Now they claim that while it may still be under the warranty the repairs that need to be made are not covered. Buyer Beware - I would not buy from the again because they simply won't stand beind their product."

The selection of watches is outstanding, and if you don't see a price you like just keep checking back and it more than likely will be reduced on another day. I also appreciate that The Watchery offers 2nd Day Air shipping with UPS for just $5.00. "I purchased a Cartier watch for my fiance. The Watchery claims their watches to be authentic and never used, but to have been display models. When he took it to the Beverly Hills Cartier store to get it authenticated, the Cartier representative confirmed that the watch was indeed authentic but was a used watch, not merely a display model. Viewing through the jeweler's loop, it was evident that there were minor scratches on the watch and a black dot on the face of the watch. They stated that the covering was probably removed from the watch and that the watch appeared to have been polished. When the store rep placed the watch on the service equipment, the watch came back with a rating of "200" indicating that the watch would require servicing soon. The Watchery does not advertise that the purchase does not come with a service or warranty manual but instead is guaranteed by an affiliate of the Watchery rather than provided by Cartier itself. We considered the lack of warranty with Cartier, and the condition of the watch to be very disappointing. We requested a refund on May 4th and requested a refund for both the purchase price and the shipping charges. The Watchery requires that the watch be returned with insurance for the full value of the watch. The Watchery refunded my purchase price on May 21, which was credited to my account on May 24th. I called to request that my shipping charges be refunded as well. They have instead given me a $25 virtual credit (store credit). Unfortunately the store credit is no good to me since I no longer have confidence in the quality of merchandise they sell. Be very careful if you decide to purchase from the Watchery. I will no longer be purchasing from the Watchery."

"I received the watch today and was impressed with its many functions. One thing is that it has functions but no "how to" manual. I did a hit and miss and was able to change time to Mountain. I couldn't do the alarm set or time for exercise. I'll work through it. The wristband is a little tight and in time I might try to change it out later if I can. A good price for a functional watch. "
