WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

"I ordered a fuel pump on Jan 19 /2021. The purchase went through and the money came off my credit card.
The next day Jan 20/2021 they said that the order could not be processed as they don't have hat specific fuel pump in stock (Online website said it was ) they offered me the next more expensive one: Regular 207.94$, they offered it to me for 195.68$. The original fuel pump I purchased was 162.90$. So now I would have to pay a additional charge of 32.78$. So I declined and asked if I could wait until the fuel pump was in stock, the customer service representative told me it will be 2-6 weeks and I can call any time to check on my order.
Then on January 27/2021 I received a email stating they cancelled my order and a refund will be sent within 2-3 business days. I called the wrench monkey and after several hours of calling i finally got ahold of someone and they told me to call me credit card company as they "Never received payment yet" and that my credit card company has is in holding until further processed.
I called me credit card company and they stated The Wrench Monkey has taken the money and no refund was issued at that. (Mind you this was 3 weeks later after they cancelled my order) I decided to wait a few weeks as i understand things take time and trying to be as calm and respectful as possible.
I have been calling multiple times a day for over a month and a half,

TODAY is March 29/2021. I have called Wrench Monkey 52 times in a span of 1.5 hours, I have tried both telephone number ***-***-**** & 1(***-***-****. I have also emailed ****@**** multiple times and I have still not received so much as a email back.

I am very disappointed as I work hard for my money and I am currently trying to build my project truck on a budget, Just for my money to be taken like that upsets me. I could never take someone's hard earn mon ey like that let alone a BIG BUSINESS, I can't imagine the people they have ripped off just like me.

I will keep trying to reach someone as it is my money and I deserve it back.

Waiting, Waiting, Waiting!

"Ordered a bearing they indicated was in stock and my credit card was charged. After 2 1/2 weeks I called left a message and emailed asking when my part would ship. Days later I repeated the above exercise with no response. Tomorrow I will leave another message and email them that I have contacted my credit card company to stop payment. Apparently they have NO customer service at all. Would not recommend them."

Scam

"Experiencing same routine as others here. Ordered and paid for a part they said was in stock. Email next day they don't have the part. Start of a bait and switch. Need to get my money back asap.

Charged 3 times for one order, no reply from customer service.

"I placed an order and paid for it.
I then recieved an email that they did not have the parts that I had paid for.
They provided an alternative part, then they said that the original payment had been cancelled and they emailed me a screenshot of a transaction that said "VOID".
So I ordered the alternative parts online and paid for them.
My Visa had then been charged twice for the second order, and once for the cancelled order.
I received the parts in the mail in 2 weeks.
After emailing them back with no reply I waited 2 weeks and then my bank was happy to refund me for the overcharges.

No Customer support at all after an order is placed ! Don't bother buying at that place at all !

"I placed an order on April 8 2020. No items were short t in stock when I placed the order. The same day I receive an email stating that 2 items were not in stock in Canada. We agreed that there would be 2 shipment, one for the main parts and one for the remaining parts. I did the following actions since April 8th:
- April 22nd: Did a follow up by email, got no feedback;
- April 24th: Did a follow up by email, got no feedback;
- April 28th: Did a follow up by email, got no feedback;
- April 30th: Did a follow up by email, got no feedback;
- April 30th and up to now, did multiple calls, the line is always busy, can not speak to somebogy;
- May 1st: Left a message and never got a call back;
- May 1st: Sent an email asking to get a feedback by the end of the day of May 4th otherwise I will take other measure;
- May 4th (today): I have enough of that and ask officially a total Refund of the back order items or I will take Legal measure;

I will come back with a follow up on the situation and if they give me my Refund, I will say so here. If they don't give me my Refund, I will let you know also.

Poor Quality Parts and No Warranty Protection

"ish I could give zero stars but not an option. I bought a Denzo a/c compressor for about $800 last July. I paid another $800 to have it installed. Ten weeks later the part failed. I asked Wrench Monkey for coverage under their “100% Guarantee” claim. They told me the only way to get warranty coverage was to buy another part from them and ship the defective one back. So I did buy another and I shipped the old part back to them. They asked me for all my receipts for installation and diagnostics. I did this too. So here I am, 6 months later out of pocket $3200 and still no reimbursement. They keep telling me they are working on my claim. The latest news is that they have opened up a “service ticket” with Denzo and will get back to me when they have news. Run don’t walk a2ay from this retailer. And get your car serviced by a reputable repair shop that backs their own work!"

Terrible First Order Experience

"I have had a very poor experience with my first order. I placed on Aug 4th. The website showed everything I wanted was in stock. Knowing that Monday was a holiday I paid for express shipping to ensure that the parts would arrive by the weekend. On Aug 6th they contacted me to let me know one of the parts was out of stock and that they would substitute a more expensive part. On Wednesday Aug 7th they contacted me to let me know that there was a delay in shipping me my order, and it couldn’t be shipped till Thursday, the offered to Overnight ship with with Fedex for Friday Delivery. Friday came and went and no delivery. On Monday Aug 12th I received an email from FedEx stating that the delivery was scheduled for Today Aug 13th by 8:00pm. So I stayed home all day to make sure I was here to get my shipment. Guess what it’s now 10:30pm and still no parts. I paid extra shipping and it’s taken longer than it take Canada post to deliver parts from Parts Avatar with free Shipping."

BAIT AND SWITCH!

"“I gave them an extra star because at least they cancelled my order.

I found out after I ordered that there are reviews here for "The Wrench Monkey" and "TheWrenchMonkey" Same company but with different ratings.

After ordering I get an email stating that some of my parts are not "in stock at this time." They said they could sell me another brand which are a little more expensive normally but would provide them at the same price in this case. Oh lucky me ... BAIT AND SWITCH! Looking at the invoice they charged me PST even though I'm not in Ontario. I tried calling them but each time the phone just rang and rang then some music would play then I'd get disconnected.

Items not in stock, switching brands, extra charges, can't speak with anyone, bad reviews ... Wrench Monkey? more like Monkey Business! I won't be buying anything from them again! ”

One of the BEST online sellers

"We have ordered from The Wrench Monkey a number of times, they seem to always have stock, pricing can't be beat even from most wholesalers, fast delivery and THE best customer service going (thanks Lisa and Andrew). They work really hard to ensure you get what you need and you get it when you need it. We have had timely delivery to our house and when we just can't wait - we have driven to Toronto to pick up at their Carlingview Ave location. Oh, and returns are a breeze. I can't say enough good about these guys. Keep up the great work."

"Needed some KYB front struts for my 2007 Toyota Rav4. They were the cheapest and even beat Rock Auto pricing. Free shipping and arrived in about 5 days in Edmonton. Could not beat that!
Exact part and installed without a hitch. Just ordered some rear pads and rotors for my daughter's 2005 Kia Sportage. Hopefully will arrive next week. Could not beat the price as I just called my local merchant and it was $40 CDN more. Saving money is good!

"Don't Buy From Them!
I ordered a Timken bearing which they claimed was 'in stock'.
After a week with no sign of a shipment I attempted to phone them. I got a busy signal many many times before getting through. I suspect they have only one phone line. They said they don't stock the bearing and couldn't obtain it. I asked for a refund and they said they would process it right away which they did not. I got my money back through Paypal dispute resolution. They claim to have millions of parts in stock. I suspect they have few or none. I wasted a week and could have ordered it from Rock Auto or a company with actual products in hand. Please click on the 5 star user names. Every one was created the same day as the review and none that I could find ever reviewed another company. I think Wrench Monkey is writing their own 5 star reviews. Don't waste your time!
