Even got a card in the mail from them a few days later thanking me for being a customer! "I switched to honest kitchen because I have a Shar Pei mix with pretty bad allergies. I found that most specialty dog foods were expensive and I wanted to make my own dog food so I knew what was in it but I didn’t want to cause any nutritional issues with my dogs if I wasn’t giving them the supplements they needed. I found the base mix with honest kitchen and it was perfect. It had all the vimatins and supplements they needed and I could see what was in it. Literally small pieces of apple and pumpkin. You could see and smell how fresh it was. With the base mix you just add the protein so it left options for my dogs. I mostly feed them a mix of beef and eggs as the added protein but you can add any protein of your choosing. It’s also extremely easy to make, just add water. Plus the storage is convenient. I can store 5 boxes of honest kitchen at the bottom of my pantry and it’s not a big deal. The equivalent of the typical dog food would be multiple 50lb bags which is hard to find room for. My dogs go crazy over it too! We will sometimes add some of the grain free chicken honest kitchen recipe to their meals to give them some variety. We call it “slop” because of the consistency and anytime we ask if they want some slop they go nuts lol. They really enjoy all of it. I have a whole routine centered around feeding my dogs honest kitchen products and I look forward to being a long happy customer. I would recommend any of their products to my friends and family. Especially if your pet has skin, allergy or digestive issues. It seems to be a much cleaner diet for them. "
"I like to order direct from THK. I love the product and want to support them as much as possible. What I find a bit disappointing is that when I place an order based on an emailed incentive (coupon) from THK, it'll sometimes take up to two or three weeks before the food is shipped/delivered. I don't know about the rest of THK client base, but I tend to wait until I am running a bit low on dog food before ordering as this product isn't cheap... Unfortunately, I have often been faced with having to go to a dog boutique and buy smaller supplemental boxes until THK order arrives. To that point, I placed an order on 9/25, it is now 10/2, and still no delivery... Love the product and the company, may just have to order through Chewy in the future."
