"When I order multiple items, they may not all ship together. This is fine, but what is unacceptable is that you bill for the items only when shipped. This makes completing my expense report at the end of the month VERY difficult. Hypothetical Example: I order 4 items. Order total with shipping & tax is $600. Two items ship and are billed on 5/28 for $295.48. One item ships on 5/29 and is billed at $122.55. The remaining item ships on 6/3 and is billed at $181.97. I may place additional orders around the same time. Now when I try to do my expenses, I have a printed invoice showing $600.00, but charges on my credit card of $295.48, $122.55, and $181.97. These may be mixed in with other charges from other orders. As you can see this makes completing my expenses very difficult and time consuming. I would much rather prefer you bill me for the $600 up front, and issue a credit in the unlikely event you're unable to ship one of the items on my order. My workaround for now is to only order one item at a time so the invoice and credit card charges will all match. This also creates extra work for me, and I'm sure it's extra work for your order fulfillment team as well."
