Just meh

"I needed my order shipped to an APO box. I spoke to the parts department who assured me they'd take care of it and call me to confirm... Neither happened.
Instead it was shipped to our home in the US and FedEx left it in front of our garage door instead of under cover on front porch and the box got soaked before a neighbor could grab it for us

Missing Parts on Used Tundra

"I recently purchased used 2nd generation 2020 Toyota Tundra because of the 2022+ models have major engine recall due to machining debris in engine.

It took Toyota dealership about 7 days for them to get truck ready for me to pick up due to truck needing some reconditioning and certified used vehicle qualification. When I arrived to pick up truck on July 3rd, I noticed the truck had missing parts. The front tow hooks, skid plate, tonneau cover and two tie-down bed rails were missing which totals $1,000+. I made it known to salesman (Uriel James) that these parts were there when we negotiated deal on truck the week prior but are now missing. He stated that it wasn't uncommon for other salesman or employees to remove these items for other customers but stated that he would replace them. He also stated that maybe the service department removed these for inspection but never I got verification on this. Before leaving dealership with truck, I asked for him to put in writing the missing parts that needed replacing but he refused and assured me that these items would be replaced.

I had to go back July 11th to get my free tank of gas (tank was supposedly empty the day I was there) that's included when buying vehicles and mentioned the missing parts again to the salesman. It's currently been 14 days since picking up truck and I've asked salesman several times for parts status with very little response and no action.

Everyone was so nice!

"I was there to pick up a part, and the place is massive so I had to ask a couple of times if I was driving to the right place, parking in the right place, where the parts counter was. I talked to a few employees while navigating through and everyone was so helpful and extremely nice! Such a great environment, employees there must be pretty happy with the culture because they were all quick to ask if I needed anything and offer to help."

Parts department concerns

"Purchased items from the Toyota parts site since there is a discount on the parts. Went to the dealership several hours later to pickup the items, a battery and touchup paint. I was shocked when I was greeted with “ that guy won’t be here until Monday” from the parts counter and did you receive an email about the parts being ready? I did get my battery, but have to wait 4-6 weeks for the paint. Treat each order like it’s the next customer in line, not separate from the customer in line. "
