"I am in need of a Blind Spot Monitoring sensor for my 2015 Toyota Sienna XLE AWD. In early November I search the web for a dealer that supplies that part. Toyota Parts Direct was listed on the result. I went on its website and search for the part I needed.

One item showed up as compatible with my vehicle and I placed an order. the next day one staff member from Toyota Parts Direct contacted my and informed that that part number did not correspond with the VIN # requirement of the vehicle and suggested another part number. But the problem was that it on back order and might take several weeks to arrive.

Since I had plans to travel to two different destinations from end of November and part of December 2023 and the whole of January 2024, I requested the cancellation of the order and suggested I would consult with the staff member in February 2024 to acquire the part needed.

I am glad to say everything was done according to my wishes and the whole episode has given me a very favourable opinion of the company. I am looking forward to do business again with them in February 2024. "

"I needed to get a replacement drivers side read bumper for my Tundra. Found toyotapartsdirect.ca and had a look. Problem was, my bumper is chrome and the search only gave me primed. I used their "chat" function and interacted with a "person" (I suspect a bot) who asked me a whole bunch of questions, gave no answers, and promised I'd be contacted by email. I never was. I called the telephone number and was told it was best to email (?!) I noticed the old part had a sticker on it and when I searched for that part I found it. I again (rather stupidly) asked their chat person (likely bot) and, again, was given a whole series of questions, given no answers, and told I would be contacted by email. I never was.

I decided to order the part regardless but had to travel out of the country before it was delivered. I am optimistic they sent me the right part and I'll know in a couple days when I get home.

So, prompt shipment but you have to make absolutely 100% sure you know the exact part number, because if you don't you will have your time wasted but get zero support from toyotapartsdirect.ca."

"It would be nice to be able to chat to a person instead of a robot. What I don't understand is the fact that I received an email stating that I had to confirm my order by replying to it. The payment was already put on my credit card. At first, I suspected it was fraudulent. Tried calling, but voicemail said it was full. I do appreciate the fact that they corrected the order to make sure I had the correct parts."

"finally after 3 to 4 weeks received order # 13256424 and pt# ***-***-**** and at $4.44 I thought I was ordering 4 sets of 4 -- I received 4 clips in total -- other than a chat with "Alice" there seems to be no way of establishing clearly what quantity I was to receive and I could not seem to get an answer -- guess I did not ask the correct question - in any case I am somewhat disapointed that I only got 4 clips -- good thing I did not order what I thought was 2 sets -- I would be screwed for another 3 to 4 weeks -- I did my best to order what I needed and I guess ultimately I got exactly what I need as long as these clips do not break like the other new ones that came with the sill weather strip --- Sincerely George"
