"Rent car by Travelocity , they charge my credit card before I get card . I GOT CAR after 6 days AC of the car stop working I return the car to Hertz two days early And asked for refund Hertz said Travelocity they got money they supposed give you credit for two days . I called Travelocity someone over indian answer and said we don't gave you money but we give you coupons I said you need give me credit on my credit card He said that our policy we don't give Dollars back give you coupons.
I don't need coupons I did partial dispute on my credit card . They operate based on India not USA ."
"I secured a room at Seaside Inn in Clearwater Beach through Travelocity and after driving 10 hours, was told by the hotel that their computers were down and couldn't be checked in. Neither the hotel nor Travelocity offered any assistance. We were left to scramble to find other, more expensive, last minute accommodations. It was absolutely awful. Contacted Travelocity and never received a response! "
"My Mom was diagnosed with Breast Cancer today, been less than a week since I booked. Need to cancel so I can be in town while she is going thru this. Got less than half of my booking payment. Airbnb will give you a full refund. DO NOT GO WITH TRAVELOCITY they are thieves.
"
"The story: my flight was rescheduled for another day
I tried to call to cancel my car reservation; I still will be flying, just no car.
The TRAVELOCITY drones say that they have to call the car rental company directly, that they've already charged my credit card for a reservation I haven't picked up the car yet.
The car rental company (when I called them) says they haven't gotten any of my $, they don't charge until I pick up the car.
So Travelocity scumbags have my car rental money, and it's taking me hours on hold to get the car reservation canceled.
DON'T COMBINE A CAR RENTAL WITH YOUR FLIGHT. CALL THE CAR RENTAL COMPANY DIRECTLY AND YOU WILL SAVE YOURSELF A LOT OF GRIEF AND TIME...
THEY WILL WASTE YOUR TIME DON"T USE THIS SCUMBAG COMPANY TRAVELOCITY ****.
STAY AWAY STAY AWAY FAR AWAY FROM TRAVELOCITY!!!!
NEVER USE THEM AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!"
"Booked flights from MCO to LAS through CLT through Travelociy. We selected seats in their system but when we went to print boarding passes the seats were changed and we were rows apart instead of same row like we selected. Airline wants to charge us to change it back to what we selected because they said we selected these seats, which we didn't. Then Travelocity said they couldn't do anything because it was the airline that controls the seat. We asked Travelocity how we could get different seats than we selected and they said it was not them it was the airline. And of course the airline says they won't change it unless we pay them $100 to do it since they didn't select the seats. Both blame the other but neither will fix the problem. Asked Travelocity what the benefit was for using Travelocity if we can't even get the seats we select and they say there basically isn't one and will not do anything for us. It's ridiculous that the system is rigged against the customer. It's the only industry where you can purchase something and they legally don't have to provide the product you purchased to you. Then try to charge you more for the priviledge of fixing their problem. Travelocity would not do anything to help us except say it was the airline. Most frustrating experience ever. There is no reason to use Travelocity, they do not stand behind the product they sell and provide no customer assistance if there is a problem. You are essentially on your and it will cost you more money. Do not use this service!
"
"To sum up a long review: They told me they’d cancelled my flights and that there would be no fees. They lied. I was charged $1,200, and they won’t refund me a dime. They told me they’d give me flight credit, then said I had none when I called to use it later. I’ve fought with them for a full year, and I’ve spent well over 15 hours on the phone with these people. Never, ever use this company for anything!
Full review:
In March of last year I booked two roundtrip tickets from Boston to Charleston through Travelocity. A couple of hours later, I managed to find a flight that left a few hours later from Charleston, which would allow my vacation to last a little longer. I called Travelocity customer service to change that one flight, but they said it would be easier if they just cancelled the whole itinerary outright. That worked for me, as there’s no fee for cancellations within 24 hours of the booking. The customer service rep said that he’d cancelled the itinerary, so I went ahead and booked the new one directly through Delta.com.
When I returned from my vacation, I saw that I’d been charged $1,200 by Travelocity. They hadn’t cancelled the flight. They said they couldn’t refund my money, as the money went to the airline. The airline wouldn’t refund my money because they aren’t liable for Travelocity’s mistakes. After several hours spent arguing with their terrible customer service, they finally agreed to give me Travelocity flight credit equal to that amount.
I called again several months later to use this flight credit, but they told me I had no such credit. Again, I spent several hours on the phone with their customer service, and I came away with nothing. It wasn’t until I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau that my flight credit magically reappeared, but it now had $800 worth of “change fees” attached to it, and so it was only worth $400.
I have fought these people for a year, and they refuse to give me my money back. I’ve spent well over 15 hours on the phone with them, and I’ve witnessed some of the shadiest business you could imagine: They admit over the phone that there are recordings of all of my phone calls with Travelocity, (which would prove that they’d lied about cancelling my flights), but they won’t admit their existence in writing unless it’s requested by a lawyer. I ask for their corporate address, and I’m told that they don’t know the company’s address. I’ve been lied to, yelled at, and dragged along for a full year without them giving my money back. I’m currently working on filing a lawsuit against them, as I’ve exhausted all other options. If you choose to use this company, I suggest going straight to a lawsuit and skipping the customer service nightmare. It will get you nowhere. DO NOT USE TRAVELOCITY!
PS: They are owned by Expedia, who also owns Hotwire, Orbits, Hotels.com, HomeAway, etc. so I wouldn’t expect any better from them. I would suggest making any hotel, flight, etc. bookings directly through the companies themselves. It’s not worth the risk to use anything owned by Expedia."
"I didn't realize Travelocity was a US company as it came up in a google.ca search. I purchased a ticket from Ottawa to Nova Scotia with WestJet - all Canadian girl. Low and behold, 3 days later when it shows up on my visa it's in US dollars. WHen I try to cancel, Travelocity says they can do so, however, westjet will be charging me 75/pp CDN. So, I called WESTJET, they said they could not cancel my flight, but if I called Travelocity back and told them to call WEST JET they would provide WESTJET with a waiver number and by the way the westjet rep said they just don't want to loose their reservation. So, I called back (I've now been dealing with this for 2 hours) and had to start over to be told, Travelocity can't give me a refund. As I'm typing I've asked once again for a supervisor - regardless of the outcome .. I would never deal with Travelocity ever again."
"Please please please DO NOT use Travelocity to buy your flights, they changed all of our connecting flights to San Juan Puerto Rico, and we noticed it not because they sent us an email or called us (THEY DID NOT BOTHER!!), but we found out because we signed into our Travelocity account and saw they had canceled our connecting flights, it was awful!!! We waited on the phone for almost 2 hours!! Then finally found some connecting flights. Weeks later we realized we have to be Back home sooner then we scheduled, so since they made us go through so much we thought well maybe they can waive the fee they charge when we reschedule flights because they screwed it up to begin with but NO! They said no. I asked to speak with a supervisor that had the power to waive it and well that's when we got Oscar on the phone, a LIAR! He told us we don't have power to waive it, call Delta they own the tickets, we called Delta and the sweet lady said: actually I can't get in to see the reservations because TRAVELOCITY OWNS THE TICKETS NOT DELTA. She said that supervisor just did not want to deal with it. Call back to talk to Oscar and the lady that answered would not let me talk to him, she asked what the situation was and put us on hold, I was on hold for 40 minutes and then got a message saying: sorry we are now closed good bye! I could not believe it!! These people are awful!!!!! I rather pay more by shopping somewhere else, it is better than going through all of this, it's been a nightmare!!!! TRAVELOCITY ****!!"
"I've used Travelocity and Expedia for a long time but will never again use them and will be sure I share my experience with my friends. On July 21, 2015, I made a one-way flight reservation from Sacramento to Los Angeles. Knowing my son HAD to leave Sacramento around 6:00am in order to get to Los Angeles and then to work by 8:30am, I sorted the flights by “Departure - Earliest”. The cost of Delta flight #5753 was $68.10. and left at 6:07am. It was perfect. I booked the flight and was charged $68.10. The e-mail back to me said “TICKETING IN PROGRESS”. The next day, I still saw the message “TICKETING IN PROGRESS”.
On July 23, 2015 I looked at my online itinerary and saw that an incorrect reservation had been made for Delta flight #5816, leaving Sacramento at 6:14pm, not 6:07am, the flight that I booked. I went back to the Travelocity website and saw that the 6:07am flight was still $68.10 and the 6:00pm flight was $106.10. I was charged $68.10, which clearly tells me that I had booked the 6:07am flight. These were the same prices shown on 7/21/15, which happened to be the same prices shown a week ago and the same prices shown on 7/24 and 7/25, the days I called Customer Service. I had to call Customer Service four times and elevated it to supervisor level twice, as recommended by Delta. Each time they said they had a record of my keystrokes and that I made the reservation.
I asked Customer Service if I made the reservation for 6:14pm, why was I charged the 6:07am price of $68.10 and not the 6:14pm price of $106.10? They didn’t have an answer but said since Delta was going to charge a $200 cancellation fee, it would just be better to book another flight for another $68.10 and lose my money for the incorrect flight. I ended up booking another flight through Delta.com for the correct 6:07am flight for another $68.10 and will never again use Travelocity. There are other flight comparison websites like Kayak and OneTravel.
Their website says a customer can change plans with no change or cancellation fees with Travelocity. This is patently untrue. Their customer service employees did not care about anything I said and could not defend what happened from their end. I wrote to their Corporate Headquarters in Southlake, TX on July 30th, but to this date (almost 6 weeks later), there has been no response."
"I have had the worst service with Travelocity! I booked two plane tickets as well as a rental car over a month ago. After getting to the destination I booked, I was informed that the rental car I had paid to reserve was not able to be rented to me. Why I asked frustrated and stranded in a strange city. Because I had below average credit and no major credit card. Not because I couldn't pay for it, or because I had no DL, but because I couldn't qualify for a major credit card. After calling Travelocity and being on HOLD for over an HOUR, I was told they wouldn't be doing anything to help me out. I pleaded that I had paid for this car and that I was stuck, they just did a refund without telling me what else I could do to get a rental car. I will NEVER EVER use this company again. "
"Travelocity mobile app is absolutely the worst; beware! I booked a hotel on the phone (July 2014) only to get an immediate notification "there aren't any rooms available for specified date." Ok, so I immediately booked another hotel. Well, when I got back home, I notice I was charge for the hotel that "wasn't booked" Long in short, contacted Travelocity by email through their website. Well, the email bounced back twice stating "this is an unchecked alias". So contacted them via their provided phone number and spoke to two other representatives who stated they will note the account and a supervisor will contact me. Well, that didn't happen. But, received an email stating they will not credit my account, they are so sorry.
Finally, the straw that broke the camel's back, called the third time asked to speak to a supervisor and placed on hold for 15 minutes only for someone to answer and hangup when I asked if she was a supervisor. Absolutely horrible customer care! FYI: I booked with Travelocity for years via my PC with no problems, but they need work with their mobile app and customer service. I will never book via their mobile app again and advice people to stay away"

"I have the worst experience with Travelocity! I booked a flight for party of 5, with 2 seniors over 70 years old and a kid of 6 year old. In order to stay together, I immediately continued to select seats. I've used this service before and it worked. Today when I tried to check in on the airline Website, I realized that none of the seats was assigned to us at all. The rest of the seats are not only not adjacent to each other but cost extra $19 each minimum! I will have to leave my 6-year-old somewhere to sit by himself. I called them and they wouldn't do anything to assist with the situation. Although the seating request is not guaranteed, at least they could have sent me some sort of information to let me know that none of the requests was accepted right and that I would have to go on the airline site to request it right?? It really really sucks! "
"we booked 4 separate parties for a wedding with travelocity. we got notified at least 3 different times for flight changes for 2 of the parties that had changed and we had to call immediately. i finally added up the hours on the phone the last time and it was 3 hours total! travelocity was incompetent to deal with airline changes and depending on who I spoke to the story was different. One agent actually told me I had to call the airline! They were so unfriendly! One of the changes was for a return flight that the party almost missed due to insufficient time to go through customs. Another party also didn't get their luggage due to short layover in mexico city."
"For an upcoming trip, I booked my flight through Travcelocity. Within 48 hours, my plans changed and i needed to reschedule for 1 week later. The fair was $244 + fees. The change fee was $240. Essentially, i lost the full ticket amount.
1) This is an outrageous penalty, the same as the ticket amount for a one week date change.
2) If I had booked through the airline, any change fee would likely have been small, or waived.
3) Travelocity did not notify me of the magnitude of this penalty during the booking process.
4) Travelocity's customer service blamed everything on the airline.
5) Travelocity's customer service stalled, told me a supervisor wasn't available, told me a supervisor would call me back which never happened.
My advice, don't use Travelocity"
