"I have been using Expedia for many years, and I have always been happy with them, but the hotel I wanted to book was not available on Expedia so I decided to try Travilocity. It was my biggest mistake. When I book the hotel online everything seemed to be fine, I received a conformation with the total and breakdown of the charges. When we were checking out from the hotel we were charged a resort fee which is $210, which is a standard procedure for every resort, when we got home, we looked at the Travilocity bill and realized that they also billed us the resort fee, we called back to the hotel and talked to the manager, he explained to us that Travilocity is not allowed to charge us the resort fees, and that we should call them up and they must reimburse us. Since then we have been in touch with them 3 times. The first time is when we called, they denied that they charged us. We told them to open our conformation, and to see that it clearly says we were overcharged $210. They admitted their mistake, and asked us to write an email to their customer support, and we will receive our credit back. That is what we did, 2 days later we did not receive any response, so we called them up and talked to a supervisor. After being on hold for 17 minutes we finally got a hold of the supervisor, who even refused to give his last name. He only gave us his first name which was "Roy6" He was extremely rude and told us that if we want our money back, we should call our credit card and dispute the charges.
Never again will I use Travilocity or recommend them to anyone."
" I chose a hotel from their Top Secret category based on its high approval rating (lots of smiley faces). Once I chose the hotel and paid for it, its name was revealed, along with a DIFFERENT, LOWER approval rating from customers. Despite 4 attempts to get this corrected (phone calls & emails)I was told that it was a nonrefundable hotel, no matter what. I asked to have it switched to a same-cost, high approval rated hotel but received the same answer: Once you buy it, you're out of luck. They didn't take any responsibility for providing misleading information. It is, in essence, stealing."
"Travelocity steals from consumers. Booked 4 tickets through them to NYC but they only paid Delta for 3. when we arrived at the airport one ticket was left unpaid. Stayed on hold for over 90 minutes. Currently I'm out the money and fighting with them to get reimbursement."
"I bought a United ticket through Travelocity. A month later United changed the departure by 1.5 hours and it did not work for me any longer. I called Travelocity and insisted on the phone conference with United. During the phone conference United said that they issued the refund authorization, but the Travelocity agent has disappeared from the phone conference. The United rep said that the airline sent the authorization for refund to Travelocity and that I would have to call back to Travelocity to make sure that they process the refund. I called and Travelocity agent said that the ticket is non-refundable and that the United rep said that too! What a lie!!! I have been demanding a phone conference with United, but the travelocity has been refusing the phone conference and just saying that the ticket is non refundable and that 1.5 hours was a "minor" schedule change that does not invalidate the ticket. Travelocity is criminals!"
"Booked RT ticket to TAIWAN from NYC, everything went smoothly, no glitches"
"Found a great air/hotel/rental car package deal. What made the deal so great was the rental car price, a convertible for a steal, and not available when booking separately. I entered my credit card information and clicked 'submit'.
The next page said something like 'sorry, we were unable to book your rental car, but we've gone ahead and charged your credit card for the airfare and hotel'. Well, thanks for the bait-and-switch.
I called customer service. The representative was courteous. After some failed attempts to add the rental car, I asked that my order be canceled. 'Ok', says the rep, 'your cancellation fee will be $3xx.xx' (over $300).
To make a long story short, the rep claimed it was the airline and hotel charging the cancellation fees, not Travelocity. I was having none of it. It was Travelocity who offered the package deal, but didn't deliver. Eventually, I was transferred to another department, where my booking was canceled without any fee.
Total time on telephone: Over 1 hour.
Lesson learned: Don't book package deals, book individual components only."
"DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! customer NO service. When my flight was cancelled I was told I had to rebook myself, then I call again and was told that since I rebooked myself they could not help. I have spent 6-8 hours trying to straighten out this mess and I can assure you that Travelocity did not help. Now I have lost one whole day of vacation time,to date, and I am still at home."
"Buyer Beware!!! Do not purchase anything from Travelocity. I have had a nightmare of an experience trying to get paper tickets for a trip b\c etickets were not available. They were not able to make an address change less than 5 minutes after i placed the reservation to add an apartment number.
I called their customer service number, and everytime I called regarding this issue, I get another person from India telling me a different story, even from their "supervisors." The error was never fixed, even after being guarenteed by a supervisor that the address would be changed.
I have now spent over 10 hours on the phone with them trying to get some answers on why I was lied too so often, and for some compensation for the hassle. They have not given me anything I can use. I have even spoken to "consumer relations" department which has no direct phone number to. They have offered no help either, and travelocity is basically saying it's okay to lie to customers and give them horrible service.
Do not ever buy anything from Travelocity! I know I won't be"
"I've shopped all the other travel sites, and travelocity keeps coming up as the easiest to use, and matches the cheapest prices (though it never beats out the other sites pricewise in my experience). I've booked 3 or 4 times though them in the past two years (not a heavy traveller obviously) and never had any problem with a ticket or car rental booked through them.

"As a consultant, I travel a *lot*. I couldn't function without Travelocity. The ability to find lodging by distance from the work site is invaluable. On the few occasions when I've had to cancel or change reservations, their customer service is unfailingly polite. Only once have I experienced long hold times; otherwise, they were fairly prompt. Love Travelocity!"
