"After investigating a variety of sources, TriState readily informed me that this item did not have a US warranty and they offered a free one year warranty with this new product. I have used Tamron lenses with my 1st SLR, a screw mount Pentax I purchased in 1968, and have never had any issues. Then the follow up about this lens' mount is for Canon's smaller sized sensor noted by the "-ES" designation insurring that the buyer in fully informed about the limitations of this lens. Then 2 more follow-ups just to be sure. I knew I had purchased from the Right Vendor.

"These are overseas lenses so do not expect a factory warranty. They are real of course but may be from the EU or Hong Kong, Korea, Japan, etc and thus have packaging and warranties limited to those areas. That said if you can get over the warranty aspect you can get a lot more value buying here. Fast shipping, and the service was friendly and well informed."
