"I am coaching my daughters soccer team, "The Sparkly Unicorns" as past of my treatment. I suffered a brain injury while forward deployed as a Mineman the United States Navy. I was medically-retired and upon returning home, I truly realized the impact of my brain injury. I was afraid to leave my house and missed out on a ton of amazing things with my three children. I wasn't able to live a normal life as a father. Then, right before I was about to commit suicide, my wife found a non-profit called Shelter to Soldier. The take shelter dogs and train them to become service dogs for veterans like me. They saved my life. So, now this is my first attempt at getting out of the house and being a father to my Daughter, Skarlet. It has been an amazing season and I have seen these little 5, 6, and 7 year old girls go from; not being able to stand in a line - to working as a team. Their confidence has just blossomed and I feel so grateful for what they have done for me. I wanted to get them each something special at the end of the season, but was very worried about cost. I was able to get each girl, two very special gifts for under $100! That is still a lot of money to me, but these girls are worth it! Thank you for making for site so easy, even a disabled veteran can use it!"
