"This company has absolutely the worst customer service/ ordering department I have ever encountered, either in a real store, or online. Retrospectively, my very first mistake was not researching this company prior to placing my order - my error.
I had ordered an Undercover toneau cover and the necessary adaptor installation kit for my truck. It was needed to provide protection and security for cargo I was transporting from Virginia to Illinois, and I had made (confirmed) arrangements with TrailBlazers/ Truck Add Ons for an installation (at the Lexington, KY store) on my way to Illinois. This involved a 2.5 hour detour from my route, but it was factored in to the trip, and it was a straightforward 1/2 hour job, and all of the parts would be there, ready to go. This was confirmed twice prior to my departure.
Well, I arrived at the store, at the scheduled time on the correct date, and that is when the surprises began. First, even when I presented a printed copy of my internet order, the store manager was clueless about what was going on, and the status of the order. After about 20 minutes of fumbling around, it was determined that the topper was at the warehouse and someone would be sent over to retrieve it and bring it back to the store for the installation. It arrived about 20 minutes later, with the news that 'somehow' the required installation kit had been shipped to my house in Virginia, so, as the manager so succinctly stated, "you are screwed", as they had to order that kit and did not have another in stock. They then tried in vain to do an alternate installation on the truck, with no success, consuming almost another hour.
They offered to order another installation kit that would arrive in a few days, and I could have the parts installed 'on my way back from Illinois' (another detour on my return leg of the trip). Well, I needed it for the trip to IL. I departed the store, politely but very upset, with no topper, and told them I would decide shortly what I wanted to do, and let them know by phone. I called them about 20 minutes later and informed them that I wished to cancel the order, and please have it credited back to my charge card.
Upon my return to VA, there was no indication that the credit had been transacted, so I called to inquire about it. The company had not even started the 'process'. At my own expense, I returned the installation kit to Trail Blazers via UPS second day ground (with a required proof of receipt signature). I called the isssuing credit card company and filed a "disputed charge" claim to halt payment for the charge. I also filed a claim with the Lexington BBB.
A series of back and forth correspondences took place, and the company was resolute that I had to 'drop the disputed charges' in order for them to proceed with issuing a credit. That is not the way it works, and I am sure that they are aware of it, and if not, they should be, given the multitude of complaints and issues that are documented on the BBB website. They were given the credit company's phone number and contact information, so they could verify the procedure themselves, which apparently they did not do. In the end, I ended up without the topper I needed, a lot of unnecessary aggravation and frustration, and a firm conviction that this company has no idea of what customer service (and respect) is about.
Just remember the time proven addage.... "The lowest price does not necessarily indicate best value". This company exemplifies this in spades, and you would be well advised to steer clear of them.
As a footnote, at the time of this fiasco, (Aug.-Sept./ 2010) the company had an "F" rating with the local BBB, and as of 12/2010 they now have an "A+" rating; an interesting statistic. And, for those of you that aren't aware, the BBB is basically a paperwork clearing house, and have no real enforcement abilities."
"AGREED PRICE & SHIPPING DESTINATION WRONG!!!Funny review there ROVIN, you must work for the company.I placed an order for the Firestone ride-rite airbags this past week, Nick quoted me delivered $225.00. Well low and behold my credit card was charged more. The email shows it was a difference due to tax. Thier website clearly states NO SALES TAX. Furthermore, it was SHIPPED TO THE WRONG ADDRESS. return calls are obviously not allowed and good luck hunting down a manager (they seem to make all the decisions). No choice but to report this to my credit card company. NEVER AGAIN will we order from this crew. I suggest paying a bit more somewhere else."
"After exhaustive Internet search I ordered from truckaddons who had by FAR the lowest price on Firestone ride-rite air bags.
Then I saw this review site with all the negative comments and thought I had made a huge mistake. As it turned out I got my order in under 2 weeks with no issues at all and saved about $50 bucks over the lowest price I had found elsewhere.
A company this size is bound to eff up a few orders and the unfortunate ones are more likely to post here. This is an attempt at balance."
"I talked to them on the phone about ladders racks, told them year and make of truck, (sure they will work on your truck) WRONG. Ship them back orignal box no damage and now they charge 20% restocking fee when the first guy said there would not be a restocking fee. Don't deal with these people."

I ordered a set of husky floor liners (front and rear) for a 2010 Toyota Tundra. The liners showed up to my home in Wyoming as expected. The order however was wrong. I received rear liners for a Toyota Tacoma. I called and got a return ticket and shipped the wrong liners back. About 2 weeks later I get an email stating that my new order has shipped.
After a week of waiting, I finally track to order to see where it is. Turns out that they are sitting on someone's front porch in Phoenix Arizona! Thats the wrong State! I live in Wyoming! Not only do these guys screw up orders they can't handle the return process either. I sent them an email and am awaiting a return, but based on everything that I have been reading I'm not too optimistic. I only hope you are smarter than I was and read this before you order from them. You will not be satisfied."
"FANTASTIC!!! This place is great thanks to folks like Michele that took my order. She made sure it was ready to ship and was just exactly like she said with arriving at my door. Great folks to do business with, look forward to doing business with them again. When they say they will match any other price, believe them!!!!

"Ordered a Tracrac for my new Ford Ranger Supercab and got the track portion within the week. Only problem was it took another few days to get the racks and two days later the free locking knobs. All parts received were in perfect shape and were the right parts for my compact pickup. I paid seventy dollars less than any other seller, plus got forty dollars of locking knobs free, and got everything within two and a half weeks. Crystal and Michelle were knowledgeable and helpful. I would not hesitate to buy from them again."
"I purchased 4 rancho shocks from them on 2/23/10 and received the first two shocks (not even boxed together) about 2/28/10 and they were the wrong shocks. So I called up the 800 number and spoke with Michelle and she told me she would put in the return request for me and that I needed to send them back with the return number. (No problem, things happen right?) Wrong I didn't hear anything for almost a week, so I called back and got someone different, she said you have to fill out the form online and that they couldn't do anything till I did that. So I did that and waited another day, then sent the wrong shocks back with original invoice return sticker on it. I waited almost another week and still hadn't heard from them. I emailed them and told them i had sent them the wrong shocks back and that they should have received the wrong ones back by now. I got a reply finally that said they couldn't find them, where did i send them to? (are you kidding me its their own printed return sticker, where the hell else would it go?). Baffled and also at work I had my Wife call and see what was going on and Mr. Foley their returns manager who was very rude and ill manored toward my wife told us to get a refund we would be charged a restocking fee of 20%!!! I didn't get the order wrong and I sure cant use the wrong shocks, but I need to pay to restock their mistake??? I wouldn't think so, I have reported them to BBB and other state agencies. Its been 12 business days since I originally ordered my parts, and guess what: STILL NO PARTS AND STILL NO REFUND. If you are planning to buy anything from these guys I would just shop at another place and save yourself the headache of being pushed around, getting the wrong parts, having them treat your loved ones like crap, take your money and still not provide you with the product that you paid for charge you to make their mistake right? All I can Say Is RIPOFF CENTRAL!!!"
"I made the mistake of ordering a Bak Flip truck cover from them. I never recieved any of the emails they promissed then when the item arrived the at least three or four times. Each repack was done in a different kind of tape even. Obviously the item is used or at least reconditioned a number of times. When I called their 800 number a female was rude and sarcastic replying that "Shirley does not work there" I have since filled complains with both states better business bureaus and consumer protection offices. Next is the federal Office of the Currency Controller's."
"I orderd a set of lights Xtreme White Plus. The delivery was taking so long, that I called the customer rep line to advise that I would have to cancel my order. They said that they could not tell me when the order would ship because it was shipping directly from the manufacturer. I called 2 weeks later advising that the lights had not arrived. I wanted to cancel. The lights finally arrived on 10/14, too late. I called them to send back the lights and they said that they could not issue a refund. Stephanie Compton

"Had I googled this "review TruckAddOns" prior to ordering from them - I NEVER WOULD HAVE. Absolute elementary web based ordering/statusing application. Zero response to 2 emails. For a company touting 95% of 1 million items in stock and shipped from Lexington, KY (5 hrs from me) it took 2 weeks to get a set of small brackets. Not an efficient internet operation. No customer service. There are enough competitors that it is not worth the few dollars you may save to use these folks that, in their internet business, have absolutly forgotten who got them where they are."
"Really wish i had checked this companies rating before i bought. Total and complete cluster!! 07/31/09 i ordered. Initially while ordering they were very helpful. I never recieved an e-mail confirmation on my order. It is 09/29/09 and i still dont have my complete order after 2mo. I ordered wheels(lug nuts,caps,valve stems included),tires,levelling kit and shocks. 10days they told me. They also told me 35's would fit on my truck. NOT!! 2 days later i recieved 2 tires and 1 shock. I called the salesman, oops he screwed up the order fixed it and i was charged for it. 08/13/09 i called about the remaining shocks,wheels and levelling kit. i was told they will be here 08/16/09 ( i recieved some of it 08/19/09) 08/21/09 i called about the Daystar levelling kit, center caps,valve stems,lug nuts, i was told nuts,caps,stems were extra and i was charged for them. Eventually i recieved the Daystar levelling kit which i found to be the wrong one during install, called them, salesman blamed it on Daystar then called back and admitted his screw up, shipped me the correct one and picked up the screw up. i was charged restocking fee. 08/25/09 recieved the nuts and levelling kit, called about center caps, salesman said they shipped today i should have by end of week. 08/27/09 attempted to install wheels but they sent wrong lug nuts. i called yet again and was told they were shipping correct ones today and go ahead and keep the others?? 09/03/09 found tires to be to large (rubbing) and 2 lug nuts didnt fit. 09/04/09 called 4 times to get salesman who eventually called me back. Refused to take tires back, denied having told me they would fit, had conference call with tire specialist who told me i would have to cut my fender, or bend the crumple zone by using a baseball bat! Then told me they would e-mail me with alternatives or how to's to get the tires to fit. (still havent heard from them) 09/10/09 called salesman says 2 lug nuts are shipped. 09/18/09 cant get ahold of salesman. Spoke with tire specialist says he will ship nuts and should be here in a day or 2. 09/28/09 called tire specialist says behind because of inventory and the nuts shipped last fri (9/25/09) should be here in a day or 2. I cant find anyone even on craigslist to buy the tires. I have to order a 4" lift kit now just to make the tires work. Then put the shocks and levelling kit on craigslist and hope they sell someday just to recoup some of my losses. you can bet i wont ever buy from this place ever again! PAY DOUBLE SOMEWHERE ELSE YOU WONT REGRET IT!!!"
"Truckaddons shipped the order to the wrong address. They did not send any notice when the ordered was shipped. They do not answer their customer service phone and did not respond to numerous phone messages. They did finally respond to email and said the order was shiped to the wrong address. Truckaddons made no attempt to rectify the situation even though they had my email and phone number and my brother's phone number. The shipper returned the item to Truckaddons even though they promised to hold the item for pickup. Truckaddons has the worst customer service of any comnpany I have ever dealt with in the last 60 years. Their customer service is non-existant. They are nonresponsive and will not do anything for the customer after the order is placed. I will never deal with them again and will warn anyone who asks that there are other companies with just as good a pricing and far superior delivery of goods and promises. I truly regret ever placing an order at Truckaddons. "
"Was told part was in stock and would receive in 5-6 days. The salesman was pleasant enough the day I placed the order. They charged my CC the day I ordered. 7 days later... no email, no contact from company... I called them and after being put on hold for 10+ minutes then disconnected, called back and was told the part is "made to order" (not true, it's not a custom part) and will not ship for another 3 weeks (a MONTH after placing the order AND HAVING MY CREDIT CARD CHARGED) so I said I want to cancel the order and get a full refund. I was told there would be a RESTOCKING FEE for an order that won't ship for another 3 weeks! Got disconnected AGAIN, and when I called back spoke to someone else who told me I would get a full refund. Then the original salesman called me, he was incredibly RUDE and told me this was my fault!?!? I asked him how long it would take to get the refund and he responded "well I guess that depends on your attitude!" This was by far the RUDEST customer service I've ever encountered, and to be threatened about being refunded is outrageous! I just filed a dispute with my credit card company. STAY AWAY from this company!"
"Just a synopsis of the notice I just sent TruckAddOns. Obviously, I would not recommend them at all. Based on my experience, do not trust their delivery date promises:
This is to inform you that I have cancelled my order of a truck lid. Your company promised me delivery of an Advanced lid last week (drop shipped from manufacturer). Upon not arriving as expected, I was subsequently told it would arrive Sat and then Mon. On Mon I was told it was really in an order shipping to your center and then being reshipped to me and no way to arrive on my necessary timings. I then agreed to a different lid you had in stock with agreement it would ship Mon and arrive Tues (Weds worst case). I noted if it couldn't arrive by Weds, I don't want it. Today I am informed it cannot arrive before tomorrow and your phone rep points all blame at Fedex and insisted I work with them directly (no help from your side!). I'm annoyed you'd make me do that, but I did call them and was unable to convince them to send it on a truck today. Given this, I told them to send back the shipment. Regardless of what issues they've caused on this last day, 99% of the promises missed are on your side and frankly I did business with you, not Fedex. The fact you have issues with your shipping company is irrelevant. At this point I will call my credit card company and reject all charges (consider this my official notice). Also, the free items included shipped separately and have arrived. Please make arrangements to pick them up at your cost or tell me what to do with them."
