"Outstanding quality turbocharger. Easy to use web site. Install kit came with all necessary seals and gaskets. They made the core return easy with a $12 pre-paid UPS label. I only wish that the install kit either came with new exhaust studs or stated in big bold letters that they are needed. There is no way the old ones are coming out and if you didn't think of it ahead of time you are half way into the job and nice and dirty when you realize you need to take a trip to the local automotive store to purchase some. "I was VERY pleased to find Turbocharger Pros for my second turbo needed of my PT Cruiser. The first turbo replacement I had was from a shop and that guys charged means my pops an arm and a leg for a rebuilt turbo with a 6 month warranty. Needless to say, my turbo only lasted 6 months. This time around I told my pops that I am going to do some research and find a good price turbo and purchase it myself and just pay to have a mechanic put it in. That way I know what I am getting. Low and behold, I found turbo charger pros! I bought a brand new turbo for a great price with a 1 year warranty, no shipping cost, and I got it the next day! "I am from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. My experience with the sales and customer service department at Turbocharger Pros was not a very pleasant one, to put it mildly. I purchased a new turbocharger for a 2001 XC70 wagon on June 19, 2012 from an over the phone sales associate. After giving the sales person the exact vehicle information and part information from the unit being replace, I received a new turbocharger that was the wrong unit. After calling Turbocharger Pros at around 8:35AM on the morning of July 2, 2012, to explain that the unit sent to me did not have the same two cooler lines position ports on the new unit that was on the unit removed from volvo wagon. I questioned whether the wrong unit was sent to me or did the unit need to be modified to match the cooler line configuration of the removed turbocharger. The response of the Turbocharber Pros representative was that it was the correct unit and that I needed to remove a metal plug on the turbocharger inlet port to modify the unit. Latter that day I resumed work on the Volvo only to compare the new and old units once again and felt stronly that I was sent the wrong part. At around 5:05PM that day I placed another call to Turbocharger Pros only to speak with a representative. When I gave the sales person a description of the problem and gave part numbers and VIN numbers (once again) from the vehicle being repaired it was determined that I indeed was sent the wrong part and that the only actual replacement unit for the 2001 volvo was a remanufactured unit and not a new unit. In addition I was told initially that the replacement unit would not be an even exchange given that the new unit sent was $525.00 and the rebuilt replacement was $ 795.00 with a $50.00 discount. Disturbed at this point I indicated that I would have to get back with him because I was going to look for another turbocharger that was close in cost to what I had paid initially. After waiting, the representative returned to the phone to tell me that a return label would be sent to me via email. The next day, July 3, 2012, I receive a call from Jim at Turbocharger Pros who proceeded to explain that he had reviewed notes from the previous activity with the sales representative from the evening before, and was apologetic for the mishap with the wrong part being shipped and how things were handled. He also expressed regrets that other people were not involved to help facilitate resolution of the matter. I next listen to Jim offer more regrets - to which I offered no response. The point in writing this lengthy review is to recount for any reader my experience with Turbocharger Pros. In addition, I write this review to say that my inital experience with this company was not what I would have liked concerning customer service. Since that time I have receive a call Eric who apologized for the difficulties that occured and subsequently has helped in bringing resolution to the experiences that unfolded with prior customer care.
