"I won the bid on this Gateway computer on November 16, 2012 and was told it was in the process of shipping. However, a week later, the order indicated "cancelled." Turns out, the customer service representatives have admitted to me that they sold me a computer they didn't have!! Now they are saying that I am out of luck on getting the computer. According to their own terms of sale, an order is non-cancellable and to not deliver on the product is fraudulent practice. Is this how this company does business?? "I have been buying from Ubid for around a year now and have bought hundreds of items from TVs, monitors, watches, computors, etc...they have good deals and I resell those items....BUT you have to be careful...A LOT of defected items are sold and you MUST check your order out carefully when you receive it...I have send back probably around 30% of the items I have bought being defective...Their customer is very erratic, mostly very POOR rude representatives...I have been hung up on before...they promise to do something and iot never gets done...I call again and have to go through the whole story AGAIN...it seems they do not keep notes or do not bother to read them on previous calls about the issue.BEWARE IF YOU RETURN VIA FED-EX THEY DO NOT HAVE A SYSTEM IN PLACE WERE YOU CAN PROOF THAT YOU RETURNED IT....THEY HAVE LOST 3 OF MY RETURNS AND I HAD NO WAY OF PROVING THAT I HAD SEND THEM...RESULT .....LOST CLAIM DENIED...FED-EX CLAIMED THEY NEVER RECEIVED IT AND I HAD NO PROOF THAT I TOOK IT TO THEM.....I LOST....HAVE THEM PICK IT AND MAKE SURE THE DRIVER SCANS THE ITEM BEFORE HE LEAVES...THAT IS THE PROOF YOU HAVE THAT YOU RETURNED IT!!!!!!!!! Here I go AGAIN...have to be very careful..most of the stuff they sell is SURPLUS junk bought a 9" Phillps DVD player ..received a 7" DVD player USED DAMAGED more than Paris Hiltons ASS!!! BEWARE"

"When I got my first computer I went to ubid soon after I got on. I don't know how I knew to even go there, but it was a great experience and it's still one of my favorite stores online.
When I was going at first it was all pretty much computers, printers and.... everything computer. I used to go to read about different items that I had no clue about. Now, you're all grown up and the family is expanding. Not just Ubid which now carries about anything, but also now you have RedTag. I like that one because it's a buy it now sort of store. Not a lot of pressure.
I'm old enough to tell you and anyone else exactly what I think of them or their store. I really DO NOT have anything bad to say about ubid. I send a lot of people there. And not just because I would like to win that ipad since it's the only way I'll ever get one.
The one thing I would like to see you improve on is your communication. I get confused about a product or have a general question about what is on the site and there is no one to talk to. I'd like to see you have more ways for us to contact you, 24/7. I like the phone since we can look at the same
page, but I like live chat also. Both have their place. And giving me an email address or form to fill out is just crap. Sorry, but I'm old enough to say that also. If anyone does get back to me which is a rare occurance, I don't care any more!!! My memory is getting shorter and shorter and when I have a question, I really do want the answer now, not next week! You wait a couple of days and I get an email that I have no clue about.
I'll keep going to ubid. Even if its to read up on products you have on RedTag or sale. You have an easy to deal with site. I can find what I want pretty fast, and I do nothing fast these days.
Oh, I think your shipping is pretty darn high except on RedTag. Just the shipping puts the brakes on what I can get. I know it's more then just the mail. Its supplies, packing and all that, but maybe you could ask another business online how they can ship free or so much cheaper?

Yours is one business I'm not worried about with Obama in office, altho you know you didn't start your business, HAHA! Just keep the doors locked and don't let him in. Yes, times are going to get tough. I'm worried about me and some other people, but we can't all be Kings and Queens.

"Ubid.com needs a lot of improvement in the returns department as it is causing some customers to file complaints with BBB. and also ubid.com should monitor the auctions supplier as the items could be a fraud as it did happened with me and Im still waiting on the refunds and it's been a month!!!"
