"Caveat Emptor !!! These guys are rip-offs.!)they charged my card.@) they did not send the cd-burner.3) their "order confirmation" said that my item had ben "released for shipping".4)USPS does not show any item shipped.(via their tracking site)5) Yahoo says that us-depot is out of business.Tried their phone number from Pricewatch.com & another furnished by American Express--Not a word for the last 7 days.

5/5/03 The Post office received my item. I found out that USPS does not always track like one might expect. I am unhappy with not knowing about the shipping process & the lack of communication from the shipper. I offer an apology to them for my lack of familiarity with their business procedures. I think that they could be a bit more communicative without losing money. Don't know why they don't want to answer the phone: their phone system software is like Chineese arithmetic. If they could learn to talk to the customer, I could learn to buy something else from them, but not until....

"Searching for an inexpensive modem on pricewatch, I came across www.us-depot.com. Apparently they are having an anniversary sale, and are advertising free ground shipping on all orders.

I couldn't find any information on them, but decided to try my luck.

I ordered the modem on Tuesday, and on Wednesday morning I had a DC# and a confirmation that my order had been shipped. I received the modem, as advertised with no problems on Sat.

Everything was super smooth, and after this experience, I'd recommend them.
