"I would not trust this vendor at all. i order a 400w and i still dont trust because looks like they switch around. bait and switch. buyers beware watch out."
"Here is some of the correspondence with these mutts. They are really bad. I wish I had discovered Resellersrating.com BEFORE I dealt with them. Do NOT deal with them.
This my first e-mail to them.
NO RESPONSE FROM (upradecenter.com) for a week.
Meanwhile, the UPS tracking info states that the billing info was recieved but nothing was shipped.
On Sept 11th I get the following email.
Pat

At the end of the next day Sept 12 UPS finally picked up the computer.
I fear to see what is going to finally arrive.

"I'll just post the email I sent them:
"Wow, your "company" sucks. I received my order today...usually reputable companies put their items in a shipping box (maybe you ran out?). Also, the power supply I was shipped is rated:
12v 12A
3.3v 14A
5v 20A
Let's compare that to the advertised specs:
Specifications: +3.3V 28A - ORANGE +5.0V 35A - RED -5.0V 0.5A - WHITE + 12V 15A - YELLOW - 12V 0.8A - BLUE +5VSB 2A - PURPLE Total Power 400W Max, Total Power on +3.3V & 5V 180W Max Dimensions: W150 x H86 x D140 (mm) UL Level 3/FCC
Quite a difference. Since I can predict that returning something too you would be more trouble than it's worth, I'm just going to eat this order (I know, I know, like you really care). What did I expect, anyways? I knew there was a good chance of this happening, but I figured what the hell. Anyways, if you're still reading this, I'll be heading over to resellerratings.com to leave a nice, juicy review for you (to complement the other stellar reviews you've already received).
Have a nice day,
Matt"
So in short, they lied, defrauded me, and poorly shipped my item. They did ship relatively quick, though."
"Ordered a case and power supply on the 11th,UPS said "BILLING INFORMATION RECEIVED" until the 20th, shipped on the 21st. Recieved case and power supply on the 26th. The box wasn't sealed (no tape!) the flaps were tucked into each other. Upon opening, screws and stuff fell out of the box, all the plastic covers were ripped off, broken.
So there you have it- over a week late and destroyed. Don't give these guys your money."
"I ordered two of the great priced 400W power supplies from them on the 15th. They sent an e-mail with UPS tracking number on the 16th...great...but....the only thing UPS received was the "shipping Information Received" notice....not the merchandise. I called and was told that UPS routinely mis-scans products and to wait a week. I called UPS and was told that they NEVER received the drive and that they could put a tracer on it Monday. They refuse to answer my e-mails. I'm starting to think it's dispute time on the credit card and time to order from a reputible company. This one is starting out on a very bad note!
If no response by Monday, I'll dispute....and then reorder from someone else.
Thumbs down...."
"It is a lot of trouble to join this site and leave a comment but in this case its worth it. In my opinion you should not do business with the Upgrade Center, Inc.. I order a PSU on 8/8. The site said it would be shipped next business day. My CC was billed on the 8th but that part did not ship until 8/13, and scheduled for delivery on 8/20. I email them and asked for an explanation and got nothing. I called and no one would answer the phone. Almost 2 weeks after I was billed to get this part without any explanation - this is no way to treat customers. I will never buy from there again!!!!"
"I ordered a 400W psu for an incredibly cheap price. I haven't gotten it yet, and when I ordered it I didn't get any kind of e-mail either. I had to ask them for a shipping number. kind of slow and uncourteous reply. I hope the PSU works if you have ordered one and tried it contact me. Even so, I already know I wouldn't do business again with them."
"Ordered a 400 watt PSU on 6/27 for $20 shipped. Received on 7/10. They shipped out in 2 days, which isn't bad, and UPS was a day late. My only complaint was the fact that there was no packaging; only the PSU and the invoice were in the box. At least the box was only a little bigger than the PSU. No visible damage though."
"I ordered a dual CPU ECS motherboard, my CC was billed, and after 3-days was given a UPS tracking #. The e-mail from UpgradeCenterInc had incorrect UPS #, was missing two letters. After another week, I noticed my package never left UpgradeCenterInc. I e-mailed them, warning I was going to report to CC company and resellerratings.com, they replied saying the board was not in stock from the date of purchase. They also wanted to know if I wanted a "single CPU" model in exchange for the same price. I of course declined and they also said they would credit my CC for the price."
"I went through all the trouble of creating an account here because others need to know about the horrible service of this company.
I bought a new case from them, needing to upgrade from my existing case (everything was working fine before but I just wanted to install a new drive). To my dismay, after I moved all the components to the new case, the thing started smoking and set off the fire alarm. In my 15 years of building PC systems, I've never had this happen to me before. When I called up Upgrade Center and told them what had happened, they didn't want to talk and hung up on me. I drove 2 hours out to their store (I luckily lived within driving distance) to show them the damage but they wouldn't even look at it. I had just lost $2000 in computer components because of their stupid little case and they could care less. This company doesn't deserve to stay in business.
