4 days ago, I found that ValueBasket.com.sg not only had two in stock, but also had the best price. I signed up for their newsletter to get a $5 discount, and ordered straight away.
Immediately after receiving the email confirmation of my order, I Googled "ValueBasket review" (this was my first time using ValueBasket) and came across a very negative customer story. I was also worried about the timing of delivery, because the email confirmation said it could take up to 11 days to deliver, which would have been too late for me given a scheduled overseas trip.
The next day, I called the customer service number, and the agent with a Filipino accent provided a polite but standard answer regarding the order status and delivery timing. Despite the canned response, the day after, I received an email that my order had been given priority processing at no additional cost.
Yesterday, just 3 days after placing my order, I received my package via DHL. Contents were protected in an inflatable tube bubble wrap, and included a travel adaptor, which I didn't expect. The box was sealed, and according to the packaging and instruction manual, it seems the phone was made for the French market.
