I ordered and had the money taken from my account nearly 4 months ago for a lumix camera…I eventually cancelled the order 10 weeks ago after nothing was happening but pathetic emails about it being out of stock,stuck in customs,with 'our' agent…. still waiting for credit. camera ordered from valuebasket.co.uk money taken by value basket in Gibraltar phone line in Philipines and apparently camera dispatched from Hong Kong….
It is ridiculous that this site even appears on googles shopping search

"I have just bought a Nikon Camera body from ValueBasket.com, with I must confess some trepidation . They have an impressive website but, it has to be said, mixed reviews . They were quick to reply by return to any questions beforehand e.g,. Would Customs Duties/VAT be paid by the supplier before delivery - A. Yes, and whilst waiting for delivery .There were a few hiccoughs along the way e.g. when checking the tracking number - on two occasions the ` current location , was shown as companies who had nothing to do with either the seller or the courier . Whether this was the fault of the seller or the courier I don't know but it was disconcerting . The price paid was very good and it was delivered in 15 days ( longer than forecast but not too untoward) and was well packed. Disappointing was the fact that there was no software and the UK designated plug part of the battery charger seems to be faulty ( I have been able to use one from another Nikon camera I own ) but got no response from VB on this latter issue. Also the User Manual had been removed from the camera box - they are £25 from Nikon. VB have offered £5 and a photocopy manual -not ideal but `half a loaf is better than none; I guess ! So not exactly a trouble free transaction but not quite "if it looks too good to be true it probably is"
FOLLOW UP REVIEW :-
Since writing the original review I have received the promised £5 refund - in fact originally VB refunded me the full amount paid form the camera body but by way of double invoicing corrected this error .
Also today 6th August 2015I have received a photocopy set of the original Nikon User Manual - why not an original itself I do not know but at least VB have fulfilled their promise so I cannot complain too much.
I never did get a response about the faulty UK charger adapter plug but as I said I am utilising one from another camera."

"I ordered a camera lens from ValueBasket which arrived on the 6th of July 2015. My first disappointment was finding out that I received a defective product. From initial inspection, there were obvious scratches on one of the optical elements inside the lens. I followed the instructions on ValueBasket's website to apply for the '14 day money back guarantee'. I provided photos of the packaging, all accessories I received, and photos of the scratches on the lens. I fulfilled all their requests to help with this process.
My major disappointment is that it has now been more than a week (10 days) since I lodged a submission for my money back and all customer service has told me is that "we shall be in touch again once we have an update". For the past week I have been waiting for this update that has never come. No contact and still left out in the dark to what is actually happening with this refund process. I have even called customer service and the only reply I've gotten is to wait for them to get back to me.
I am very disappointed with the post-sale service of ValueBasket. I have been quite patient however the lack of communication from their customer service team has been a huge let down. At this current stage I don't know what is happening with this '14 day money back guarantee'. I have a defective product sitting on my desk and all I am doing now is waiting...
