"My mother-in-law had a very bad heart attack, and we needed to order 2 new beds (one for her and one for a nurse) before she was released from the hospital. I live 12 hours away from her and couldn't shop local, so I shopped Wayfair, paying VERY close attention to the estimated shipping dates to ensure the items ordered would be delivered in time. My family wanted me to shop Amazon, but I had shopped Wayfair before and been happy.
I ordered 2 beds, 2 mattresses, 2 comforter sets, and 2 sheet sets -- 5 out of 6 items were delivered as expected (within 2 weeks). However, when the most important item shipped (the daybed for my mother-in-law to recover in), I received a notice that while the bed did indeed ship on the day the site said it would...the estimated delivery date was 21 days out!!! It would NEVER make it in time and was useless! And, because the item had already shipped, I had to pay an extra $89 fee just to cancel the order. I'm disappointed about not getting the bed in time, but flat-out ANGRY about having to pay such a high cancellation fee.
I ended up ordering a daybed from Amazon to replace my Wayfair purchase. You really failed me Wayfair. You made me look bad in front of my entire family, and I've endured a lot of criticism for choosing you over Amazon in the first place.
Moral of the story? Wayfair does have beautiful things at great prices, but they cannot be trusted to deliver when they say they will. If you're on a timeline, don't take the chance. You'll pay for it -- literally. I paid $90 for NOTHING.
