"On 9/14/13 I purchased a Big Wheel for my 4 y/o grandson's b'day. Looked fine until we got to the last step; putting on the seat post - DEFECTIVE-.
Emailed them three times; I get the same autoblast response that they have assigned me a "catchy Case Number", but will not respond to my request for return shipping instructions.
Yes, I should have read the TOS. But let's agree this is a fraudulent way of doing business. They should spend more time on customer service rather than writing witty ad ditties.
How can Amazon allow rats like this to sneak in?
"
"I have been a Woot customer for several years. Unfortunately I will no longer be a customer. I placed orders on 9/6/13, 9/11/13 and 9/16/13 and all of these had multiple items. I paid for the items and they indicated they had shipped the items. Unfortunately each of the orders had multiple items missing from the order. I had to contact them regarding each order and they indicated that they were no out of stock and they would credit me back for the missing products. This is unacceptable and they offered no explanation. This is clearly a pattern of selling items and receiving payment and then indicating that the item is shipped when in fact it never was. As a pattern it borders on consumer fraud and I am shocked that Amazon lets this continue. Terrible company "
"Woot has good prices, just wish they had more of the bag of crap or other stuff that interested me"
"I'm addicted to deal stuff, I better stop, haha! Woot is fun, wish it was easier to get a bag of crap though, D'OH!"
"Placed an order with Woot for a pair of running shoes for my wife, along with two pairs for me. Got an email confirmation of the order, and email notice that the order had been shipped. Of course my credit card was charged for the entire order.
When order arrived, only my shoes were included. Contacted Woot. Their response:
"Sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, we no longer have the product available."
Woot did issue a refund to my credit card for the charge for my wife's order.
After second email to woot, I was told that shipping charges on last order would be refunded.
But my question is how can you rely on a merchant who emails receipt of your complete order, charges your credit card, sends a shipment confirmation, and then does not include an item in your order?"
"Never had a bad deal from Woot. Just bought a factory refurbished camera with a 90-day warranty. Super cheap. Received it by USPS 2 days later. Very quick shipping and was not expecting it. For the cheap shipping, I am not going to argue if it took up to 10 days.
Yes, I agree with the other reviewer. Please read the TOS before you buy from any reseller. If you want something for super cheap and then complain that it's refurbished? Then that's on you.
"
"Bad in every way. Last time I will ever buy from them."
"Flippers of Scamazon scrap returns,a totally foul outfit to be avoided at all costs.Uses fedex to avoid mail fraud issues."
"I placed an order got a confirmation order# back. when i went to track the order it wasnt there. I emailed them and they said that their automated system did not process the order. Why then did i get an order confirmation back? The product is now sold out, they will not honor the purchase and offer no compensation for the blunder. I will never use them again and if Amazon was smart they would drop this lousy company."
"A nightmare. I bought a TV for $600+ that was located about 230 miles from me in a Dallas suburb, it took 4 days to get to a shipper (some fly by night outfit called "SEKO") which then took NINE DAYS to move the item to my location...an average speed of about 1 1/2 miles an hour, I can WALK faster than that, in dress shoes for chrissakes. The shipping outfit called me today wanting directions to my house (!) and I just told them I am refusing it, send it back to the scumbags who sold it to me.
The most disgusting part of this whole debacle is that -somehow- I got to this 'woot' gang through an Amazon link. Never had a prob with Amazon, I should have known better. I rate this place F MINUS."
"Woot never really fails to impress. Pretty good deals. Shipping always $5."
"Yeah, their TOS sucks. Under no circumstance will they cancel an order or accept a return. If it's broken, they won't even pay return shipping. But you agree to that when you sign up. If you don't agree- don't buy. ALWAYS read your TOS!
That being said, I recently purchased glasses from them and they had the wrong photo with the listing. They sent me the correct glasses (the style code was correct anyway), but it did not match the image. I emailed customer service and they replied the next business day and said I could return a DIFFERENT item (at my expense)- so either they didn't read or didn't understand my first email. I wrote back, clarifying the order numbers and politely stating "then I will get a bank chargeback because you sent me the wrong item" and I got an email two business days later saying that they credited my account for the glasses and I don't even need to return them!
In the end, it all worked out, but I did have to be patient and determined."
"Great customer service, Woot rocks!"
"I understand that ordering on Dec. 24 is the worst time of year for shipping BUT; the "order tracking number" they offer simply returns me to the same page with NO INFORMATION regarding tracking information. I have no idea when to expect my "already shipped" item.."
"I've ordered 11 items from Woot over the past few years, sent to addresses in 3 different states. 10 of those 11 times, the item arrived promptly, in the condition described, and with no problems whatsoever.
The 11th was an umbrella that arrived with a few broken ribs. I contacted Woot about this, and they immediately offered a refund to myself and other people impacted by this issue.
Overall I've found Woot to be an exemplary seller over the years."
