" Speedy delivery, but sent "defective merchandise" and say I HAVE TO PAY FOR RETURN SHIPPING. These floodcams are junk, I've been trying to get one to work for two years, floodlights come on and won't turn off, even when they're set to only come on after dark. I was told the new improved ones worked fine, but SAME JUNK as before. After using x10 for around 12 years I am totally disgusted, and will never use them again."

"Security equipment that I ordered is only fair in quality for the price. First shipment, nothing worked. Second shipment, nothing worked. Third shipment everything worked fine. On next small order 1 sensor didn't work. Customer service is fine when you can get them thru phone system. Andrew P. has been most helpful and responsive. System is fine now but company should check on quality before shipment."

"I want to express my appreciation for the excellent service provided to me by Ms Paulette Coleman on the above referenced order. Ms Coleman made the process very easy and enjoyable even though I don't particularily enjoy placing orders via telephone or internet. It was extremely important to me for the order to be placed correctly and delivered overnight. I was very relieved when my shipment arrived prior to Noon yesterday, 9/12/07.

Again, I appreciate the excellent assistance Ms Coleman provided and that will definitely be kept in mind when deciding on placing future orders.

"I have to say that X-10 went out on a limb when they recently re-shipped my order from over 1 year ago, that was apparently stolen off of my front pourch when it was delivered. I called about my problem a number of times with no real answer about what to do. The last time I called the company rep referred me to Sara Ferong, Internet Sales Manager, who after a little research and perhaps some good will, made good on my order by resending it to me. Thank you X-10, thank you Sara Ferong. If any else has a problem try contacting Sara @....****@****"

I purchased software from X10 website and could download it but not successfully install it. The problem seemed to be that the server copy was not the latest available. DeShawn D,****@****, ext: 2628, solved the problem by emailing the program to me. It is now installed.

"Cameras are fine! Vanguard download was old version and didn't operate for any video on the computer interface. Customer service hasn't been able to supply the corrected and updated version of Vanguard software they sold. I will make more attempts to get the system working properly as advertised before returning for a full refund.

"the audio/video senders that i ordered were advertised to have built in remote control senders also. the a/v senders that i received did not send and or receive remote signals. i phoned customer service and they sent me some trouble shooting info that was not applicable but it was a genuine attempt to help. i was told if that didn't work they would send out a new unit. after all the trouble shooting was finished it was obvious the remote feature of the a/v sender was not working. i phoned customer service again and was told by a new rep that sometimes they work and sometimes they don't and there wasn't much that could be done. i mentioned that the previous rep said she could replace the unit that i suspected was faulty. the new rep said okay if i wanted to. she sent me rma instructions that said i'm responsible for all return shipping costs and they shouldn't be sent via u.s. mail. i would need to drive twenty miles to the closest ups station and pay for shipping on a return for replacement item that was advertised to work in a way that it doesn't. if they are not compatible in some circumstances then why brag about what they can't always do? and if it is possibly a defect issue then why should i have to jump through hoops to get a new unit to try?"
