"Terrible customer service. I ordered two pendants on a much bigger order and they shipped just one. The other was back ordered for months and when I finally received, it was the wrong item. Instead of offering to send out the correct item I ordered they preferred to just start a return and told me to order the correct item again. I will be ordering it again, but not from them."
"I bought a $3,000 flush mount ceiling lamp. For starters, the lamp came slightly damaged, which wasn't their fault. They offered me 10% off to keep, which I accepted. However, once I had the electrician installed it, the dimmer didn't work. I called them and they were nice in the beginning trying to help me troubleshoot the issue. During this time, I had the electrician come out three times doing what they told me to do, but in the end, the electrician told me that this is a commercial light and uses 5 wires, while residential homes use 3 wires. So, when I called them to tell them this, they first said, I took the 10% off and accepted it. I had to remind them that was for the damage. After I overcame that, next they said it has been too long since I ordered the light, but then I told them that I have been in constant contact with them about this and I had to schedule the electrician three times to come out which takes time as well. In the end, they basically said that they sell residential and commercial lights and that I should have called them before ordering to confirm. The bottom line, this company will absolutely do anything to not refund you. "
"The amount that I agreed to pay at checkout was ~$300 less than what I was charged on my credit card, in addition to the standard COD collected on delivery of the items.
There was an error on YLighting's side, in how they calculated the Order Subtotal and the Shipping Costs. To any reasonable person, the summary of these costs clearly showed that the Order Total cost was inclusive of shipping fees, when in fact they were not. As a result, I approved ~$1800 to be charged to my credit card, and then was immediately brought to a page showing that I had agreed to pay ~$2100.
YLighting refuses to acknowledge this error, and instead says that they can't refund me the cost of my shipping.
How can you trust a company that ask you to "submit your order" and agree to pay a certain amount, and then charges you several hundred dollars more than you agreed to?
I would NEVER use this company again. Deeply untrustworthy. "
"My experience with Ylighting has been less than satisfactory.
On October 11th I ordered by phone, a track lighting system. Of all the parts received, only the monorail and pendant lights were correct. The transformer, standoffs and power feed canopy were all incorrect and did not fit with the monorail. Unfortunately the mismatched parts were only realized as the precursor parts were corrected and installed, resulting in a two plus month delay and the unit is still not correct. I have had to pay an extra $330 to get the parts that were incorrectly sent with the original order. Additionally I now have an extra Monorail as two were sent but only one was ordered, an extra set of standoffs of the incorrect size, and an extra transformer.
Summary
I called to order track lighting and the sales person was very polite and helpful on the phone, advising all the parts that were needed for the install. The parts were received about two weeks later. I installed the transformer in the ceiling and patched the ceiling, painted and textured.
Not being familiar with this manufacturer's products, I called the manufacturer and discovered that the transformer that was sent was incorrect for the pendant lights. I called Ylighting, the sales person was polite, apologized for the incorrect order and sent the correct transformer, which arrived a couple weeks later. The transformer was replaced at no cost to me for the correct transformer, but the cost of the replacement was left to me.
I had to reopen the ceiling and install the correct transformer then close the ceiling, repaint and retexture. I installed the power feed and then realized the Monorail brackets ("standoffs") were incorrect (4") and did not go with the length of the power feed (2").
I again called Ylighting (after discussing the parts needed with the manufacturer) and ordered the correct size standoffs. They arrived about 10 days later. I had to purchase these as the 30 day replacement window had passed while I was awaiting the correct parts.
When I could finally install the Monorail into the standoffs and power feed, I realized that the wrong power feed had been sent in the original order (a dual feed was originally sent but the Monorail and lights were for a single feed). I had to purchase these as the 30 day replacement window had passed while I was awaiting the correct parts.
I am now awaiting the receipt of the correct power feed canopy, having paid for it again as the return window had passed. I have had to pay for the canopy and standoffs at a cost of over $330 due to the mistakes of the original sales person. Additionally the lights are not yet completed after two full months of work and waiting for correct parts to be delivered.

"Purchased fixtures online that turned out to be unsuitable.
Initiated a return online that was responded to by an email as "incomplete" with an indication that I would be contacted by a Customer Service agent. No contact occurred.
When I called them, I was told ALL items purchased online from YLighting by Canadian consumers were NOT RETURNABLE.
At NO time during the purchasing process was there any indication that ALL items shipped to Canada were FINAL SALE. The Customer Service agent indicated it was a recent policy change and it is buried in the text of their return policy.
DO NOT BUY ITEMS FROM THIS RETAILER IF YOU LIVE IN CANADA!!!"
"About a month ago, I ordered three pricey wall-mounted artwork lights to replace older units which we had removed. I was a bit surprised when the website said that the lights were "In stock" yet it would take 3-5 business days to get them shipped (have they ever heard of Amazon?). Anyway, a week later I got a notification that they had been shipped, of course by the slowest possible means (UPS ground from CA to VT), which took another week. Once they finally arrived I got my electrician here the next day to install them. One of the three was defective, as the arm was bent, and this didn't happen during shipping or installation. So I called Y Lighting and asked for a replacement to be send in an expedited manner, given the hassle we'd been through. The rep said that she'd "make that request" which I should never have believed. After several more calls and emails, during which time the replacement light STILL hadn't shipped, they finally told me that they wouldn't do expedited processing OR shipping. So now I'm still waiting for the replacement, which is apparently going to take more like 2.5 weeks to get here it appears. Again, for an item that still shows as being "in stock" on their website. Customer service reps are clueless, disinterested, and not helpful. I will NEVER order from this company again, and i can't recommend that anyone else do so either. "
"I ordered two identical fixtures each of them being $2200 a piece for a commercial job of mine . I ordered them in advance so I wouldn’t be waiting on them when it was time to install them. One of the fixtures had a broken part. Submitted photos in an email and sent them right away. Even spoke to them on the phone for them to tell me I had 48 hours to report the issue. The fixture was stored on site in their own private closet . But since I did not open the box within 48 hours they told me it’s my problem. Even spoke to the manager After finding out they would not do anything and the best part about it , it’s a part that can’t even be replaced without disassembling the entire fixture. F"
"The most unresponsive, incompetent company and staff, with non-existent customer service (and impossible to reach the few people they do have), and clearly incapable of dealing with its customers in a timely, professional manner. I ordered 3 identical bathroom fixtures and the 16 light bulbs included in their specs--for almost $1500.00. When my installer installed the first fixture, the bulbs were too big and the glass panel couldn't close. The specs were wrong. When I contacted my salesman, I was told that the salespeople are not authorized to send a return label--only customer service can do it--and it would take 3-5 business days to get the label. After calling customer service (and waiting on hold for a ridiculous amount of time), two days later I got the label and returned the lightbulbs. On day two of this nightmare, my installer had to buy light bulbs that would fit. When he returned to begin the second installation, he unpacked the boxes and found one of the glass panels was shattered. After hours until I was able to reach customer service, and confirmation that the manufacturer had a replacement panel, I was promised that the delivery would be rushed and I would receive it in two days (provided I emailed a photo of the broken panel before they could ship it). When I didn't get tracking information, I finally reached customer service only to be advised that it would be a week before I will receive the panel. Once again, I had received inaccurate information. When I complained that, because of all of the problems with the fixtures, the installation would require 3 days instead of 1 day--and I would have to bear triple the expense--I was told that YLighting doesn't compensate for installation problems. Of course, they created all of the problems that caused the delays in installation!
Please, please, please, if you are reading this review, DO NOT order from YLighting. You will regret it if you do!

"Horrible experience ordering from this company I ordered a lamp in April and it’s now the end August and still no lamp. They tell you it’s coming and it never does "
"We purchased this for one of our clients - we informed YLighting it was damaged and that we would get pictures but the property is very remote - by the time we got the pictures YLighting says to bad for you.... I only wish I would have seen how many unhappy customers they had before I ordered.....DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY...customer service is not their strong suit....."
"Needed to return unused recessed
Ridiculous and I will vow never ever to buy from this company again."
"I ordered three Sonneman lights from Y lighting. I just went to install them and one of them was missing a set screw. I asked Y lighting for a replacement and they told me that they would get me a quote since it had been more than 72 hours since they were delivered. In this age where customer focus is going to determine who succeeds and who fails, don't waste your time and energy with Y lighting."
"The most incompetent group I’ve ever dealt with. Ordered three light fixtures from them in November 2017. All three of them had issues. Dealing with customer service to get those issues fixed has been an absolute nightmare. It’s mid-April and it will be at least another month until everything is resolved. They charge for every little thing and don’t work with the manufacturers well. For one of the fixtures I went directly to the manufacturer who said ylighting is being ridiculous. They were able to work directly with me and got the problem fixed immediately. The other two I’ve been trudging along dealing with one customer service agent after another being told different stories each time. I hang up the phone with them thinking everything has been resolved just to find out a week or two later that nothing in fact had been resolved or done and I have to call back in to get the whole process started again. I will never use them again. Wish I would have read reviews before purchasing from them. There’s plenty of other companies that sell the items I wanted and I’m sure would be way less hassle to work with. "
"I initially thought my item was damaged but it ended up being adhesive that I was able to remove myself."
"The Sales Rep ordered twice a wrong item.We warned her about the mistake but there was no way of her understanding us
the box arrived damaged so we are responsible of buying a new box and paying shipping
Never Again"
