"I have been going to the Hiram store for the past 2 years and have always experienced good customer service ... today was different for some reason. I was in the process of purchasing some new motocross boots and noticed that the pricing on the boot itself (manufacturer's price tag attached directly to the boots) was $20 cheaper than the listed price. When I went to purchase them I was informed that Cycle Gear could not honor that pricing since it is set by the manufacturer. While that is a "tough pill" to swallow, what was very surprising (based on previous experiences in this specific store) was the very short and curt attitude from the young gentleman behind the desk ... he was not helpful nor understanding at all. It has always been my experience in the past that the seller should honor the price that is listed on the product ... it is not the consumer's fault that it is different than what is in their system. If you expect the consumer to pay more than what the product is listed for, then there needs to be a better explanation as to why there is a difference ... in this case that wasn't explained at all, was just told "that is how it is". I left without purchasing the boots and will not visit this specific store again and do wonder how Cycle Gear sets their pricing? How can they justify a $20 price hike on a $140 product when the manufacturer of the boots set the price to begin with ... or if you are going to do that, then at least be smart enough to remove the cheaper price tag. "
