"Six months ago, if someone had told me that I'd be looking for motorcycle gear, I would have said "No way!" But a few short weeks ago (5 to be exact), I bought a scooter, took a motorcycle training class, and started riding. But as with many sports, you need equipment. In the case of cycling, you need protective clothing and a helmet at the very least. Add to that the fact that I live in Tucson and it's summer and temperatures are over 100 degrees daily, this can seem daunting.
I found a huge selection of jackets, pants, boots, gloves, helmets -- everything you need. I'm fortunate that we have a Cycle Gear here in Tucson, but it's a small store and we ended up ordering a jacket I had seen on line. I had emails and phone calls to keep me up to date on the progress of my order and I rushed down when it finally came in. Unfortunately, it didn't fit. They had no problem taking it back and helping me find a more comfortable alternative. I feel much safer with a protective jacket. We also found some Heat-Out tee shirts. The staff were familiar with these shirts and wear them themselves. They helped with sizing and we're very happy with them. Our other purchase that day was a bluetooth communication system. We knew nothing about these, but they educated us and actually installed them in our helmets for us.
Cycle Gear is my new favorite store. They treated us as they would friends."
