"I spoke to James on a number of occasions, every time he has done what I needed. If James couldn't sort it there and then he would ring me back with the answers pertaining to my whole home audio setup which was very technical because we had to fill audio for a 7500 sq foot house we are building. Firstly, James rang as I had ordered 12 ceiling Martin Logan speakers and he rang to check that the order was correct because of my ceiling being 40 feet high which I mentioned to him when we first started talking. Secondly, James spoke to me about amplification as I already have it from my old setup in our old home and ended up keeping it so we discussed how to make my other zones correctly work and he brought up the best solution for me being Sonos as it is absolutely an amazing product. Finally, my overall customer experience with Designer Audio Video has been wonderful and I now have all 22 in ceiling speakers installed throughout my home for music.

"Everything was new, as promised. It took about 2 weeks to ship but given the savings, that didnt bother me. Contacted support on two occasions and got a response within 24 hours. Id definitely buy from them again.

Bottom line, if you have expectations of getting this stuff in a couple days with instant communication turnaround, you'll be disappointed. I think its why several reviewers got all bent out of shape. They were expecting a big chain retailer experience not a family business experience.

"Absolute positive experience. Was on major deadline for an installation but did not want to spend the $700 for 2 day air shipping on my 7 speakers out of which 4 were florr standers by Revel. Designer Audio had them in stock and delivered to us in 3 full days from the date I placed my order. I am impressed and would totally recommend them to anyone. "

"I recently purchased 4 items from designeraudiovideo.com, but only needed 3. My speakers are set up and work perfectly as of now. They also were very helpful in returning a pair of in ceiling speakers I ordered by accident. They are the cheapest price and have a very responsive customer service. "After seeing some questionable reviews of DesignerAudioVideo online and their speaker prices that seem to be consistently lower than anywhere else, I was wary of ordering, but I decided to give them a chance.

The speakers that I ordered were $150 lower than retail ($300 vs $459 for Martin Logan ML-75R), and they've arrived in the specified time frame in perfect condition. I've been playing around with them for the last few days. No complaints here.

I've also exchanged a few emails with their support, and the replies always seemed to come back within 10-15 minutes.

One of my biggest concerns which is common with low-priced retailers, especially ones that sell TVs (which doesn't apply to DesignerAudioVideo) is bait-and-switch. There was none of that here. I'll definitely order from them again if I need more speakers in the future and their prices remain so good.

"Wonderful company and staff who run it. Seems like they not only have great pricing but try the best they can to fill the free shipping 7-14 business day orders as quickly as possible. I places an order for 3 Definitive Technology Mythos Ten speakers and received them in 6 days fro the day my order was placed. I will be back to purchase more speakers for another home theater in the next coming month or two. "

"I was concerned by numerous negative reviews for this vendor--so much so that I was then concerned that the numerous extremely positive reviews might not be totally legitimate. I placed an order on Monday of this week, receiving an immediate purchase confirmation and receipt. Two days later I just received a shipping confirmation, including UPS tracking information.

This is only a guess, but I doubt that the standard shipping time frame of 7 to 14 business days is indicative of incompetent logistics on the vendor's part; rather, I would guess that perhaps this vendor might not stock very much inventory and is really an online point of sale, which may depend on another entity to ship the products.

Assuming the product arrives in new condition (and from what I read here, even the most negative reviews indicated that the products arrived eventually, and seemingly always in new condition), this vendor offers truly excellent pricing and is a great option for buyers who can be patient for a couple of weeks. I happened to luck out and did not have to be nearly as patient as I was expecting to have to be! :-)

**Update as of August 1, 2014**
Strangely, while I ordered four large outdoor speakers, and was charged for four, only two arrived today, and I don't have shipping information on the remaining two. The products arrived in perfect condition in manufacturer shipping containers, and I tested one of the speakers to be sure it worked. Quality and condition are great.

I am not lowering my five star rating, as I am still WAY within the 7 to 14 business day time frame that the site indicates i may have to wait for receipt of my items.

**Update as of August 4, 2014**
I received a scheduled delivery notification over the weekend for the other two large outdoor speakers. Those will arrive just one business day after the first two, meaning that all items will have been received within one week (5 business days) of my initial order. My only minor complaint is that the tracking information sent by the merchant corresponded to only two of the four speakers, and UPS--not the merchant--is who notified me of the other two being delivered.

I also tested the first two speakers that arrived at the end of last week to be sure they worked before discarding the large shipping boxes. Condition and functionality is perfect.

Note that the site itself makes clear in the FAQ section that this merchant is NOT an authorized dealer for these brands. Therefore manufacturer's warranty coverage does not apply. The vendor itself offers what it claims is identical coverage with warranty service provided through the vendor.

**Update as of August 4, 2014**
My other two speakers arrived in perfect, new condition. I had emailed customer service over the weekend, just to be sure the last two were on their way, since I had received tracking information for only the first two. Customer service called me by early afternoon Monday, so just a few business hours after receiving my weekend email. He was very friendly, but by the time he called, I had been informed by UPS that those last two items were on the way and scheduled for delivery later that same day.

Fantastic pricing and a great overall experience with this vendor!

"Ordered a pair of Definitive Technology speakers listed as in stock, selecting free delivery. The site clearly stated that this shipping option would take 7-14 days. Soon after ordering, I received an email stating that my order was processing. This was the only email that I would receive that week, prompting me to send an inquiry. It took a day or so for designeraudiovideo.com to get back, but they told me that the speakers would ship the next day. (In fact, we had several emails going back and forth, and they were forthcoming in their responses - so kudos to them. ) Indeed, the speakers were shipped the next day via UPS and arrived after two days in transit in fine shape (within the 7-14 day window promised). I was not charged for the order until the items shipped. I am satisfied with my purchase and the shipping. If I were to suggest improvements for this operation, it would be to be proactive in communicating the order processing sequence to waiting customers, since we are all accustomed to shipping taking place very soon after an order is placed. Otherwise, mine was a positive experience."

"Really bad customer service and they have no problem lying to you over the phone or via email. I ordered three "in stock" items on Jan 13, recieved one of the items two weeks later, recieved the other two on Feb 25, over six weeks later. Originally they told me everything was in stock and would ship next week, that's rediculous right off the bat, two weeks to pull pack and ship an item is horrible. Then I only recieve only one of three items and I call and they tell me they have to check on it and will call me back and take my number. Never called back so I call another two or three times before some one finally admitts that the items are not in stock, even though the website still says that they are, but they will recive more on Monday (three weeks). Nothing ships that week so I call and get an excuse about the weather being bad, likes it's never snowed in NJ before. Same thing next week and exact same excuse. Week five I call and they say they recieved the item from the manufacturer and it will ship out this week via air so I don't have to wait for ground shipping but nothing gets shipped. I call again, during week six and they tell me the item is in stock and will be shipped this week via air again. That Thursday I finally recieve a shipping notice for my stuff and it was sent ground. So after six weeks and about ten phone calls, I call that horrible customver service and inventory management. I did save a few bucks by buying it through them, which is the one reason I put two stars but I would have rather bought it through Best Buy and payed the extra $30 and had my speakers in time for the Super Bowl which is why I bought them. Lord help me if I ever have an issue and need to return or exchange them..."
