"I placed an order on 12/27/13, and received a partial shipment. There is no communication from the seller as to when the remainder of my order will ship. They have my money, but do not seem to care after the order was paid. I will purchase elsewhere next time.
Addendum: I called Monday 1/20/2014, and Spoke with the Sales Manager, James. He went as far as to tell me, quote:I do $26 million a year. I do not care about your little $300 order.end quote. (It was $1300). He went on to call me a descriptive word for someone's behind, and had a few other choice words in an email. Needless to say, I canceled the order. I found the same Def Tech speakers elsewhere for less anyway. "
"I only want to complain about the speed of my delivery and the communication of their customer service. My product arrived in good condition.
It was 29 days from when I ordered my product to when it was finally delivered (quoted 7-14 business day delivery). The 29 days is even ok as that's not terribly divorced from 14 business days. However, the product was said to be in stock and upon contacting Designer Audio and Video about my order, they told me it was shipping a week before it actually shipped.
I saved $35 (about 12%) over what would have been a prompt Amazon delivery. I don't think it was worth it. I hate it when companies are not entirely honest with their customers. If you tell me it will take 3 weeks before it ships then I can deal with that. If you tell me it will ship 'today', 2 weeks after I order it, then it ships a week later, I'm not going to be ordering again from you."
"My order was cancelled without the simplest courtesy of an email or phone call to advise me. I only discovered that it had been cancelled when I logged onto my account and saw the order status as "cancelled". This is highly unprofessional. I know that it could not have been an issue with the credit card; since I use it for web orders on a regular basis and have NEVER had a problem with processing. If they were out of stock; then they should have notified me so that I could have located the speakers elsewhere. "
"Stay away. They list items as in stock that are not in stock. 3 weeks later my order still hasn't shipped with zero updates or even telling me that the items were out of stock until I contacted them. They then blew through another week in which they said the item would ship. Save your time and go with a more reputable seller. Their costumer service is terrible. After reading through the reviews it's obvious that they pad their reviews big time with a sea of fake reviews.

"Ordering with Designer Audio Video has been the worst online shopping experience I've ever had. After nearly 3 weeks after my order I've yet to receive anything. I know mistakes happen, and I was more then happy to give them the benefit of the doubt. I called their support number and spoke to a man who may be the worst customer service rep in history. I asked him the status of my order and he said "it probably hasn't shipped yet." I asked why it hasn't been shipped after 2 weeks and he said, "that's our business." He was extremely patronizing and rude the entire call. A few days later I called again and spoke to a different rep who told me my speakers were on backorder. I told him the website said it was in stock and should've been here by now, to which he responded, "Did you hear what I just said?" he then told me "if you cancel with me you won't be able to get one elsewhere."
I have been shocked by how awful their customer service has been and am considering filing formal complaints with the Better Business Bureau if my problem isn't resolved soon.
I strongly advise against ordering with these people. Literally any other supplier would be better."
"Found the speakers I wanted and called Designeraudiovideo to make sure they were in stock. I was told they were in stock. Went online and ordered them and paid for UPS ground (did not use free shipping option). UPS ground terms were 3-4 days. I ordered the speakers on a Tuesday morning. On Friday, the status of my order was still "processing". I called Designeraudiovideo and the guy quoted some bogus policy about having them to me within 7 days. I reviewed the store policy he was quoting on their website and it applied to free shipping, not UPS or expedited shipping. I am highly suspicious that the speakers were not in stock which is why my order is still "processing". I seem to have wasted $29 on UPS shipping. There were other vendor choices with the same pricing. Using designeraudiovideo was a mistake I will not make again."
"Took 15 days to ship and then shipped ground (10-14 days more). Called customer service ten days after order. The said my shipping delay was irrelevant because once they shipped my package would be shipped by a faster shipping method than "ground" so that I could still expect to have the speakers "in my hands" within 10-14 days, which is the shipping timeframe I chose in placing my order. This statement was not correct, or not followed through with, as my package has been shipped via ground transport STARTING on the 15th day after my order. I'll be lucky to get these speakers within a month of my order date. That delay is not even close to being worth what I saved going through this company."
"Think twice about ordering from this company. They take a very long time to process and will stick you with a 15 percent fee from a product never processed even for shipment when you finally lose patience with their processing. In my case I was told the same excuse for processing twice ( the second time excuse given 5-7 days later made me feel like the company had a scam going. It made me lose trust and I was fearful of being ripped off the whole amount. Obviously the fact that they ended up sticking me with a 70 fee after giving me a song and dance about why order wasn't processed yet tells me they are not trustworthy or concerned about customer satisfaction. If you do take the chance and order from them and end up waiting and waiting and waiting for shipment to even be processed, Cancel your card before cancelling your order to avoid restocking fee. Restocking of what I have no idea!!!! I would never order from them though for if they are this slimy on processing I doubt they would honor a return if the item was flawed. Perhaps I am spoiled by crutchfield, outlaw and so many other reputable companies that this small place can't hold up to their great customer service, but I have ordered a lot of electronics and have come to expect great customer service. Shame on me for trying a different company that i was already unsure about."
