"I sold an iPhone 6 on eBay, which i was scammed to ship out. Both eBay and paypal emails were sent to me using emails that LOOKED exactly like theirs. Turns out it wasn't them, and eBay was NO HELP AT ALL. I just lost $500 and they couldn't care less. When i called last week it had seemed like the problem had been resolved and that they would refund me, but it turns out that they weren't going to. and the guy i had spoken to was spouting crap the entire time i spoke to him. Extremely disappointing to know that i had to call eBay 5 times in order to get someone who was actually willing to explain things properly to me, and in the end, i still lost my money because eBay wont do anything about scammers. Even though their eBay system DID say i had been paid. "

"I have been a seller on eBay for many years, have a great selling record. Recently had (for the first time) a buyer who made false claims about an item I had sent to them. I emailed them back stating that my pictures showed no problems. Never heard from buyer again. When I contacted eBay to close out the claim, they sided with the buyer. Although I provided pictures of the item and stated my reputation, the buyer (who had only 20 transactions) did not provide any photographs nor any additional information other than item was not as described and won! eBay told me that they don't even review pictures but only the claim. Also my feedback and number of transactions don't even go into account. So now I am responsible for giving money back on false accusations as well as a negative comment. VERY, very disappointed "
"I have been an Ebay Seller Since March of 2003. Last Month I Sold my old smartphone that i have used for the last 2 years. I described it in its entirety. I even had free shipping and a 14 day return if the buyer decided they didnt like it. 3 weeks later the buyer claims the item is defective and the charge port is broken. I am Currently paying $49.95 per month for a Premium Store Subscription Which Includes 500 free listings per month, But Now because of a "Bad Buyer" who lied about an item I Sold to return it and have Ebay refund their purchase, I Have been restricted to only 210 listings per month. I am however still Charged $49.95 per month with limited selling restrictions. I'm Not Getting what I'm paying for therefore it is the Definition of a SCAM.
As a Seller Ebay even takes 9% of the Final sale including any shipping charge. I'm Selling items to make them money taking all the risks with the postal service because unfortunately even with tracking some items get lost or stolen through the mail and if that happens the Buyer gets a full refund.
Ebay does not care about its sellers. Anybody buying on Ebay is covered by a guarantee. If you get an item and decide you don't want it or happen to break it, the buyer can "Lie" and Ebay will have them return the item at the sellers expense and refund their purchase and dock the seller No questions asked. Because the buyers always right.
The Customer Service Personal were Very Friendly yet Could Not Do Anything to Rectify the Situation because they are only Employees getting paid to Do What the Billionaire Upper Management and CEO's Give them the Power to Do."

"I bought an item that was fake, seller was supremely unhelpful, had to wait for days before Ebay steps in. Ebay then require me to return said fake item, provide a return label that is no good to me whatsoever (as there is no Collect Plus office nearby). They return the cost of the product to me after I had to call to prompt them, but not of the return postage, because I hadn't used their label. If they offer returns postage, it needs to be within reasonable distance for people to use.
After having spent hours already negotiating with seller, contacting Ebay and taking photos etc, I did not think it was reasonable to expect me to drive for 1 1/2 hours to find a collect plus office.
Spoke to three people in customer services, they were rude, belligerent and obstructive. Just referring to policies (and forgetting they had not mentioned any of these policies in their communications with me).
I have previously been on the other side as a seller, having posted something, the customer received it, and they still refunded the money that was due to me.
My advice: do not EVER buy anyting branded from Ebay (make up/perfume/shoes/clothes), is will most likely be fake, and you will not receive any help.
Buy only used furniture etc that you can examine before you buy/pay.
Do follow all instructions when dealing with them, do not use your own brain or deviate from the script, as they cannot deal with this.
Use Amazon or preferably local companies who will deal with you nicely.
