I PLACED AN ORDER ON EBAY OF SANDISK USB DUAL OTG PENDRIVE (WITH SELLER-ABDUL MUQEET MUCHHADA) ON 11 OCT’15.
TILL 15 OCT, NO PROGRESS ON DELIVERY WAS MADE.ON 16 OCT I RECEIVED A MESSAGE FROM EBAY THAT MY PRODUCT IS READY TO BE SHIPPED BUT WHEN I TRACKED YHE ORDER, NOTHING WAS THERE.
AND HENCE I SENT A MAIL TO SELLER ON 18 OCT ENQUIRING THE SAME BUT NO REPLY CAME IN NEXT 24 HOURS. ALSO ON 19 OCT I CALLED HIM AND SENT HIM A MESSAGE ABOUT THE ISSUE. ALSO I CONTACTED EBAY VIA LIVE CHAT ON 19 OCT(A COPY OF WHICH IS WITH ME) AND THEY PROMISED TO HELP ME ASAP.
ON 22 OCT, I GOT A MAIL FROM SELLER THAT MY PRODUCT IS SHIPPED.
ON 23 OCT EVENING, I GOT A CALL FROM UNKNOWN NUMBER ABOUT MY PRODUCT THAT HE IS COMING IN 5 MINUTES. (NO MESSAGE FROM ARAMEX COURIER COMPANY WAS SENT ABOUT DELIVERY OF PRODUCT AND ABOUT DETAILS OF COURIER BOY.)
WHEN COURIER BOY ARRIVED, FIRST THING WAS HE ASKED FOR MONEY EVEN BEFORE TAKING OUT PARCEL OUT OF HIS BAG. I ASKED HIM TO LET ME OPEN THE PARCEL AND SEE WHETHER BILL AND PRODUCT IS IN IT OR NOT, BECAUSE I GREW SUSPICIOUS AS A SMALL PENDRIVE IS IN A PARCEL SIZED TWICE OF PALM. ALSO, WHILE MY EARLIER SHOPPING EXPERIENCE THROUGH OTHER E-SELLERS, THE DELIVERY PERSON HELPED IN VERIFYING THE PRODUCT BEFORE TAKING PAYMENT.EVEN MANY SELLERS OF EBAY ON THEIR PRODUCT PAGE HAVE WRITTEN THAT USER MUST CHECK OPEN PRODUCT BEFORE PAYING DELIVERY GUYS. BUT THIS GUY REFUSED AND STARTED MAKING EXCUSES AND WROTE “NO OPEN DELIVERY” ON HIS OWN ON PARCEL, ON WHICH I ASKED HIM TO LET ME CONTACT SELLER AND HE REFUSED PLAINLY SAYING HE DOESN’T WANT TO TALK WITH ANYONE AND FLED AWAY FLINGING ABUSES.
NEXT MOMENT, I CONTACTED SELLER AND HE TOLD ME THAT I MUST HAVE ACCEPTED THE PARCEL IN ANY CASE. WHEN I SAID IF ANY PROBLEM ARISED IN FUTURE OR IF PRODUCT IS DAMAGED, HE SAID HE IS NOT LIABLE FOR IT. NEXT HE SAID THAT HE WOULD MANGE TO DELIVER IT AGAIN, AND I NEED NOT PANIC.ALSO, I SENT A MAIL TO ARAMEX COURIER FOR RUDE BEHAVIOUR OF THEIR PERSONNEL( RECEIVED NO REPLY TILL NOW). FURTHERMORE, I CONTACTED EBAY VIA LIVE CHAT AND THEY ASURRED ME OF QUALITY EXPERIENCE.
NEXT MORNING ON 24 OCT, AGAIN I CALLED EBAY AND DESCRIBED THEM THE EVENTS AND SOUGHT THEIR ADVICE FOR FURTHER PROCEEDINGS. THEY REPLIED IN A HELPLESS WAY THAT THEY CAN’T CONTACT SELLER NOR COURIER COMPANY, AND I MUST DO IT ON MY OWN.
AFTER THIS FRUSTATING CONVERSATION, MULTIPLE TIMES I CALLED SELLER BUT HE DIDN’T RECEIVE THE CALL. I HAD TELEPHONIC CONVERSATION WITH ARAMEX COURIER SERVICE AND THEY APOLOGISED FOR DELIVERY BOY BEHAVIOUR AND SAID THAT MY CASE WOULD BE GIVEN PRIORITY ANDTHE PRODUCT WOULD BE DELIVERED TODAY ITSELF. WHEN ASKED WHY DELIVERY STATUS MESSAGE WASN’T SENT TO ME, THEY SAID THAT EVEN THEY DON’T KNOW WHEN THE PRODUCT IS GOING TO BE DELIVERED AND BY WHOM! AFTER FEW HOURS WHEN I ENQUIRED ABOUT THE STATUS,THEY SAID IT IS IN PROCESS AND PRODUCT WILL BE DELIVERED ON 24 OR BY 26 OF OCT.
NO UPDATE OF MY ORDER WAS MADE ON “ORDER TRACKING”, NEITHER I RECEIVED ANY MAIL OR MESSAGES FROM EBAY, ARAMEX OR SELLER.
ON 26 OCT, I ENQUIRED WITH ARAMEX AND THEY GAVE ME A SILLY ANSWER THAT I’M CALLING THEM FOR FIRST TIME AND TRIED TO SHOW THEMSELVES GENEROUS THAT THEY WILL SORT THIS ISSUE TODAY ITSELF. AGAIN AFTER FEW HOURS, CONTACTING THEM ON MY OWN, THEY SAID THAT PRODUCT WILL BE DELIVERED ON 26 OR 27 OCT.
ON 26 EVENING, I MADE A FINAL CALL TO EBAY AND THE PERSONNEL ASKED ME TO WAIT TILL NOV 2 (ORDER DATE WAS OCT 11). LATE NIGHT, A UPDATE WAS MADE THAT PRODUCT IS BACK WITH SELLER.
NEXT MOMENT I RAISED A CLIM WITH EBAY, TO SHIP BACK MY PRODUCT .

5. EBAY CAN’T CONTACT SELLER NEITHER COURIER COMPANY, THEN FOR WHAT IT STANDS
6. EVEN EBAY DON’T KNOW WHAT TO DO AND IS HAVING TIME PASS WITH CUSTOMER AND AT LAST GIVES A REFUSING ANSWER.

Unfortunately the tracking was fake. The seller also disappear. Ebay also cut contact wit the seller and etc.. In the end ebay take no responsibility and deflect it to paypal. Paypal also take no responsibility and deflect it to ebay. When you charged over 10%(comebine ebay and paypal fee), you would think that the company will have some ethical standard. In short they have no buyer protection as they claim and etc...
If ebay create a website that was hack, it is ebay problem and not the buyer problem. Ebay and paypal collect the money and fee and take no responsibility.

"I recently bought an Iphone 4s from ebay and I got a phone which was not powering on. I checked the serial no. and IMEI no. with the Apple site and it said that this is a damaged product. I raised a claim the very next day and the seller contacted me and said they are ready to resolve but it has to come through the ebay guarentee. I called ebay customer support and they said they will get back in 4 days. I waited for 4 days and the I got back to customer support via chat and they are now saying 20 days. The seller and ebay are blaming each other. And I lost 10000 + rs in the meantime.
I had a similar issue back in June where they sold a wrong product. I raised a claim, waited 30 days and when no reponse I called back and they said claim has to be done in 30 days. So I never got anywhere.

The biggest mistake I did in my life is bought a product [laptop - HP Pavillion 15 Touch 4th Gen i5 12GB Ram 1TB Hdd Win 8.1 1.5GB Intel Graphics(261977796247) - Price: Rs. 37, 602.00)] from eBay, I will make sure that my family, friends, colleagues etc. will never buy any product from eBay.
eBay simply don't know concept of buying products online, let me know you - first is saving time. I had requested replacement of my product and you USELESS eBay simply emailed me after 7 - 8 DAYs saying I have to dispatch my product to the seller by myself. If I had that much time then why I had used USELESS eBay. And in your email you stat that if I will not dispatch that product within 5 days of receiving your mail you will cancel my replacement request. HELL.
After dispatching faulty laptop I had requested for replacement and guess what, what I got in replacement - a broken laptop.
I had returned the broken laptop to the seller using same way - courier by myself to the seller. And seller confirmed receiving of broken laptop. Now story starts from here - this time I had requested my HARD EARNED MONEY back. I had provided all details - images of broken laptop and receipt of courier but TILL DATE EBAY HAVE NOT RETURNED MY MONEY TO ME.
From 07th September 2015 I am requesting eBay to return my money and called approx 8 - 10 times to their USELESS customer care but still I am struggling with my refund.

"I used eBay to purchase a book that I needed for school. Upon payment of this product I was told that I had received the item. When I contacted the website and informed them that I had not received my package they reached out to the seller. While the website states that the product was shipped it was not. When I used my tracking number to file a claim with the shipping company, they stated it was an unknown number. I then contacted the seller to get additional information and received no response. When I escalated my issue to eBay, they completely ignored my statements regarding the supposed "shipped item" and that something was wrong. I received no help in finding an appropriate tracking number, nor was I able to speak with someone, one on one, regarding my order. I was never issued a refund and am now out a good amount of money for a product that I don't even have. Not to mention the amount I spent by playing it safe and going to a reputable site to purchase the book that I still needed for class. If you like gambling this site is for you. If you want good reliable service with a company that will take the time to listen to your problem, do not use this site. "
"I have been an ebay member for a couple of years, I have never had a problem with things I buy and have sold a few thinks without any hassle. However, overall my experience is bad due to fraudulent buyers. I list an item like an iPhone and I am inundated with bids, crazy dollar amounts, and the buyers don't even exist! I have to wait a few days, then ebay notifies me (again) of fraud. So now, I just use craigslist. I can still get paid thru pay pal, and no waste of time. Ebay needs to clean up its act."
