"This was my second time engaging Mike and the team at eCollegePC for a build, the previous one being about 6-7 years ago. That build was flawless and I never had a single issue with the system in all the years I used the machine, but despite some issues this experience was far more impressive.
I decided it was time to upgrade, and using the online build tool put together the build I wanted, including one of the coveted RTX 3070's nobody has been able to find recently. The build was done quickly and sent to me, but I quickly began experiencing a mysterious overheating issue which I couldn't track down. After about an hour of gaming the machine would overheat and shut down. After some back and forth with Mike we decided to try a new heat sink for the CPU first, and he sent a new larger heatsink to me free of charge despite my only selecting the stock heat sink when I chose the CPU. I installed it but this failed to resolve the issue, and Mike then said it was time to send the machine back so they could trouble shoot. Turned out there was a problem with the motherboard itself, but not only did they replace the motherboard which was faulty, they went the extra mile and replaced every other major component in the tower (RAM, Power Supply, CPU) and also upgraded the heat sink to ensure that any issues from the overheating were repaired. I was really impressed with the level of service and pride they took in their product to ensure they had a satisfied customer at the end of the day.
As the title states, I was already a return customer, and this experience as ensured I'll be back again in the future. "

"Spent many weeks searching for the parts for a new all around build. At this time the list I made had a few parts that were only available by paying outrageous scalper prices. I've built my own boxes for 20 years, but because of the shortage of parts during this Scamdemic I searched computer builders and in the process of all the known builders found eCollege Computers. I've never heard of them, but after pricing my build on all of the other builder sites; eCollege came up the lowest price by a few hundred dollars.
I used the build your AMD basic building sheet and they had in stock every part, but the 6800 video card. I decided to go the route of the RTX 3070 instead. I made my order and the very next day I get an email that the water cooling CPU system wouldn't fit the case I chose with having the CD/DVD drive included and Mike suggested a different case which cost somewhat more than the case I chose. They swallowed the increase on this case which is not what I expected!
It was built, tested and shipped in 3 days and received it in 2 more days. They did an outstanding job tuning the system; much better than I would I'm sure as under CPUIDZ ID stress test shows all cores (AMD 7 5800x) running at 4.853 GHz. That's over the 4.7 GHz that AMD says it goes to, so I must of got lucky and got a good bin. I didn't even purchase the tuning package available, but they tuned it well.
All I can tell you is that to get the parts I wanted would've took at least a month or I'd need to pay the scalpers their price to get the parts. The price between eCollege and the other builders was between 300 and 500 dollars less with shipping free! If I would've went ahead and bought the parts myself from 3-4 different vendors I would've payed over 500 dollars more plus having to build it myself, so in reality it cost me nothing to have them build it.
Communication between Mike and I was excellent. Being a retired business owner myself I can tell you this company is an upstanding entity and has great business practices. Thanks for everything eCollege! Best Wishes: Bruce"

"I actually live on the west coast but when scouting for a merchant to build a custom computer at a reasonable price, eCollegePC's name kept showing up. I contacted them a few months ago to run my specs by them and to see if they were up and running during the shelter-in-place situation.
They are open. Took me a couple of months to finish off research on different components, then placed my order. I have to say, the professionalism, communication, guidance, knowledge, inventory and workmanship were outstanding.
My tower arrived well-packed, quickly and set up was a breeze. I ran a benchmark test and the configuration came back with stellar marks. Above average, even against other solo components. This shows that they take the time to not only assemble the pc, but it's tested and fine tuned properly for efficiency.

"I was very skeptical when I first came across eCollegePC custom PC building site. Definitely not a big box retailer name. But dont let that fool you. These guys and possibly gals really display the 20 years and experience they claim. I have not yet once came to them with a question, some times already knowing the answer, or just testing their customer service, and not recieved a viable, honest, and intellectual answer that bleeds knowledge and expertise, as well as patience, kindness, and willingness to help and inform. It's common logic that building yourself is cheaper but if you're new, dont feel like building, or curious about their build quality like myself, they offer the best price per performance parts with their build premium included compared to ANY big name like Cyber, iBuy, Nzxt, and ALL others, even as far as prebuilts (I chose custom option and picked every part, not a prebuilt). Also, there is a 3 year warranty for service and I think replacement as well*** (just not sure on ramifications). Because of the pandemic and lack of stock around the globe, building yourself could take weeks and even months. Luckily eCPC had everything I needed and more in stock and ready to build. I contacted the sales department a month or so prior to my estimated day of payment and they were able to make sure all of the items I desired stayed in stock. Now dont take this the wrong way but I'm sure they encounter a lot of people who say the same things and dont come through with the purchase but I was serious. After the extensive research I performed over the months prior comparing every custom PC building business vs building myself and sourcing parts from every dealer big and small, I came to the conclusion that I may have been able to save $200. But all the other building companies premiums were through the roof for the setup I desired. And when you buy prebuilts you must be careful because things like RAM, the motherboard, and PSU brand and quality are sacrificed at the expense of the price, so tou may find a similar system with same CPU, GPU, and Storage for $500 cheaper but will end up with the absolute bare minimum PSU (400w), low mhz RAM speed, and outdated mobo. eCollegePC greatly surpassed price to quality parts compared to anyone else. Even if I were to build it myself it would of taken atleast a month to find, buy, and recieve the exact same parts, and thats only if I was able to find what I desired (same brand and in stock or attainable) without going through 3+ vendors. Now of course if you are on a budget and need to save every penny, build yourself OR you can choose a lesser performance pegged prebuilt from eCollegePC starting at around ~$550. Again, I chose the custom AMD option and literally picked every single part having plenty of options, and had the ability to find something not listed on their site for them to add as long as it was attainable. Without going any further I just want to reiterate and reassure those reading if the review up to this point hasnt assured you enough. eCollegePC is a legitimate business, with correct advertisement, unbeatable prices, and the flexibility and customer service oriented type of convenience you require when building/buying a high dollar item such as a gaming or business/personal PC. They are well worth the money, a great investment and opportunity to recieve a quality built system with quality parts and the ability to do business with a reputable brand and company. I highly recommend and will continue to highly recommend and even convince people if I can of the hidden gem of an option that is offered by eCollegePC. Thanks for all your help Mike!!!
PS- I'm sure I annoy the mess out of Mike from ECPC, I have so many questions, and he has yet to ignore or lack self control and patience when dealing with me. Great customer service and look forward to buying more systems from them. I purchased my system at the end of June 2020 and have had the time to investigate, inspect, and use my system. I wanted to do this before I wrote a review and so far everything has been great. And oh yeah, shipping was free, and was delivered wat earlier than I expected for free shipping! I placed the order on a Wednesday, it was shipped Thursday, and I recieved it that Saturday, i was so surprised and stoked!!!"
"After purchasing a computer 6 years ago from Ecollegepc.com I am now back for a brand new one after the second motherboard of mine was fried due to housing's freakish power surge that hit just over a week ago. Anyways that is not the point here. The point here is that I love this website, it's very easy to use and CSR Mike is very helpful when it comes to questions you have about parts or want advice on what works best together. They even upgraded me from a mid-tier ddr3 ram to a top tier ram because they were out of stock of the ram I purchased at no extra cost. In a freakish turn of events it turns out that the ram I ordered this time wasn't compatible with the motherboard I ordered so they offered me a free upgrade from the i5 9400 to the i5 9600k if I would take the 2666 ddr4 ram over the 3200 that I had ordered. I know that if I ever need to purchase a computer in the future I will be returning to this site. Why pay luxury prices for a name when you can have a professional who has been working in this business for 20 years and has over 100 5 star reviews build a custom for you using the same exact parts for a fraction of the price? It was fun to be able to spec out virtually about every single detail for what I wanted, and Mike was very responsive to questions and advice of what to order. Two weeks from the date of order until it showed up on my porch with free shipping. How many places will respond to emails on a weekend? Mike does. I did a ton of research this time around when I decided to move on from the mass producers like D*** and H*. I wanted a custom builder who was known for quality and value.
