"Shortly after providing my credit card information to a MacMall representative to finish placing an order that couldn't be handled online, my credit card was compromised. My complaints to the company fell on deaf ears. After being assured that my order and credit card information was being deleted, I then received a phone call from the company the next day asking me to approve that same order again. All I can say is STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! I shop a lot online, and I've never had problems like this before.

I'm updating this review. It turns out that my credit card was NOT compromised by the eCost employee. However, I will not change my rating. The lack of initial response to my difficulties, the inability for eCost to run a credit card transaction on the weekend, and the lack of follow-through or email correspondence by their customer service representatives was more than enough to ensure that I will not do business with this company until they improve their customer experience."

"Another great product at a fantastic price. Could have used this at our last Conference where the A/V dept. gave us the same clunky old projector we've been using for the past 5 years... without a remote OR pointer! Well, now I'm ready for next year.

"Normally, my experience is good with ecost. However, in this case, I ordered a laptop for my daughter for her birthday, and as the time arrived when I needed it, I finally called and they had no record of the order, even though they had sent me an electronic receipt. OK, no company is perfect, but then the suggestion that they Fed-Ex the new order which I had to make, in order for it to MAYBE still arrive in time, went nowhere. Oh well, hopefully that won't happen again."

"Product was used and damaged. Took 3 phone calls and 1 email to finally get RMA shipping label sent. When I called about replacement, was told that I was getting a credit within 3 days. Told customer service that I asked for replacement, not refund. Got no assistance. Was told to go to website and re- order. Checked tem and it was sold out. Not happy!"
