"Item was ordered with value less than $300.00 online. Package required adult signature and was prohibited by the sender (ecost.com) from being held at any FedEx facility. Customer support made me jump through hoops to "authorize" a hold at facility, to include providing additional private information and numerous calls. My feeling and belief is that they wanted it returned to their warehouse as undeliverable so they could collect a substantial re-stocking fee. Don't do business with these bunch of crooks. While a signature verifying delivery makes sense, it is non-sense to require a person be at home waiting for their stuff. They never provided a real answer to why it couldn't be held, just stated "security reasons." Seems like picking it up from FedEx and providing an ID that matches the name on the package is more secure than handing it to anyone that answers the door (or is working in the yard, or runs over from the neighbors, or is sitting waiting at your house)."

"The order was delivered the very next day. The only problem I have is that even understanding it is a refurbished laptop the screen bezel has a portion that is not glued all the way but I do not want to send it back as I have already put it in use."

" eCost, in my experience, has always been a bit difficult to work with in terms of credit card payment. However this recent purchase was terrible. At first they didn't want to ship to an address that was different than my billing address. They had me call my bank and change my address, which I did. I then talked to them and they said the order would move forward. Days later, it hadn't moved so I called again. They put me on hold and called my bank and they came back and said it was all set and the order would proceed. Two hours later I received an email saying they want me to do a bank transfer. I have cancelled the order."
