"e-wiz lured me in once again with a good price, however just as I ordered the component I read a report that the part they were selling was manufactured with severe design flaws. I ordered at roughly midnight EST. Their 'online cancellation system' referenced in their FAQ never gave me an option to cancel, trying for the first hour after ordering and then again the following morning at 8AM EST. Noone would answer the telephone until 12:30PM EST (30 minutes after their 'open time'). Once I finally got someone, she said she might be able to cancel the order but she would still charge the 15% restocking fee, even though everyone knows they are a very small shop that works on volume. I explained to her the published problems with the equipment and that I was trying to prevent a lengthy RMA process and actually just wanted to substitute another part as was willing to pay the difference. She said she couldn't process it as a return unless it shipped out and I refused the package and it came back, and then she could proceed with filling another order for replacement/RMA. She told me about their website cancellation system (which didn't work for me at all and was even unavailable for an hour or so the night before). She made no concessions for me as a long term customer of e-wiz, having made many purchases for significant amounts there previously. Even when I told her that I was an active member of the enthusiast community and her insistance on profiting $20 on an order mistake combined with a failure in her automated cancellation system would only lead me to recount my experience on all the major forums (anandtech, hardforums, thg, extremeoverclocking, and others) where I'm a longstanding and respected member of the community, she did not offer to find either a rapid solution for me (requiring a ship/return that would literally eat two weeks of my time, plus a delay in getting a refund if I didn't order some sort of replacement from them) or a solution that didn't waste $20 on a $140 order, I opted to sell the motherboard on one of the forums for the very amount I would get back from e-wiz (preferring to give another user who understood exactly what they were buying and who was willing to chance the hardware issues aforementioned the break rather than letting a dirty company make $20 because THEIR ORDER CANCELLATION SYSTEM FAILED). The worst part is that the motherboard did not even ship out until almost 12 hours AFTER I spoke to their customer service rep and because of their delay in shipping, I didn't receive the motherboard until 7 days later (mainly because they didn't get it into UPS' hands until they had stopped loading trucks for the weekend, so it sat in their town over the whole weekend before moving on Monday).
In the end, my experience was to learn that e-wiz really means electronic urination on customer service. Don't buy from them unless you're 100% sure what you are ordering and you don't expect any type of customer service down the road (even 15 minutes after the transation)."
