"I have purchased a ticket with this SCAM Co..They send me 2 confirmations..I arrived at the airport and Aeromexico told me..Sorry you do not have a seat and call them..Once I called them..They told me sorry..We have not been able to honor the price we showed you.. And I had to pay last minute flight...A big difference. "
"DO NOT USE THIS SITE. they have charged my card and never issues my flight ticket. They claim that I had to send authorization for usage of my card over email which we know it is not secure. Worst part is that my card got charged anyway even though they were still waiting for a verification process. call center agents were not helpful at all and even supervisor hang up on me while we were still in dispute.
Will not recommend this site to anyone."
"Contact bbb I don’t know how they still have an a+, they are scammers!!! They had the nerve to call me 6 times at 655 am and then changed my seat selections without my authorization.
Booked tickets, tried to cancel within 24 hours there was a 250 charge, fine never mind I'll keep the dates, mind you this was within 1 hour of purchasing (my bad didn't notice the midnight date change). I thought it was ridiculous... but then came the craziness. I get a call today, 3 days after I've purchased the tickets and I'm told that I need to pay $149 dollars extra to get seats. WHAT?! I'm traveling with twin 3-year-olds to Asia, a 13-hour flight. The man says that if I don't pay we won't sit together, in other words, I will have 2 toddlers sitting in between people. Obviously I call EVA and they try the best they can do because they obviously don't want 2 kids running around. My question is why didn't they inform me of this fee before?!!?! Ok so I'm on the phone with them again (exploretrip) and now they are telling me I need to pay only $100, but they can't guarantee my flight back will have seats together. I went online myself, didn't pay extra, and was able to get the seats assigned together for the leg out. I didn't tell the rep on the phone that yet, and he's really trying to charge me $100 for something I can do online by myself for free. He kept telling me to listen to him, and I asked him why, since he was lying to me. I asked if I pay the 100 if he can guarantee that we will sit together, and he says no, SO WHY WOULD I PAY!!!! I wish there was more I can do than file this complaint, they use some company called https://www.feefo.com for their complaints and so I'm going to be sending a complaint through that as well. Save your time, money and headaches, go to Vayma instead! And BBB why in the world is the company still an A when there are more complaints than anything else!!!"
"I booked an international round-trip flight through ExploreTrip for $684. The next day I was sent an email asking for a copy of the front of my credit card (an Amex, so the security code is on the front), a written letter of authorization and a copy of a government-issued ID. Not only, in my 18 years of making transactions on the internet, have I not encountered this requirement with any company before; I thought the request was invasive and excessive. This is especially so considering this is my first (and last) transaction with the company.
I was too busy to call ExploreTrip that day. Within 24 hours of the first email I received another email to say my booking had been canceled.
I am currently - more than an hour and 20 minutes in - on the phone with ExploreTrip. The first customer service representative was not helpful when I said I would like us to handle the verification over the phone. She passed me to another person, who did not identify himself as a supervisor, who was ineffective in explaining why ExploreTrip needed this when other companies are able to process transactions securely/without hard-copy evidence.
It took a lot of digging and painful communication on my end for the supervisor to admit that I could book the flights again with another credit card where ExploreTrip's additional verification may not be necessary. The person then realized the flights I originally booked were now being sold for $932.51 - around 40 percent more.
I asked what ExploreTrip is going to do about it and was told it could only give me a $20 credit towards the re-purchase. I said I wanted to speak to the supervisor's manager. An hour and a half later, I'm still waiting on the phone and have used the time to write this account on multiple websites.
I like a good deal but I enjoy my time more.
An hour and 37 minutes later...ExploreTrip has ended the call while I was on hold.
I do not recommend ExploreTrip and I hope it reads about this experience. There are so many travel websites out there that I would be foolish to use it again.
I am going to write to the CEO, Prasad Gundumogula, with a complaint via: pgundumogula at mondee.com."
"I strongly recommend you avoid them. They invoiced me in CAD but charged my card in USD. All their customer service can say is 'check with your bank'. Obviously I did, many times, and my bank pointed out that the exploretrip FAQ clearly states that all prices are in USD. Do some digging and you will realize the overwhelming amount of rip offs these scammers have been up to.
Submitted a complaint to the butter business bureau, but apparently they act as middlemen only and have no investigative power. So I reported them to california's dept of consumer affairs, the FTC and the FBI's IC3. Its hard to believe that such an illegitimate business is allowed to exist in the USA. Let's see how it goes."
"In December 2017 I bought an airfare for 613.79, but some days later I had to cancel it; they applied a penalty for $375 and gave me a credit for the difference to buy a new ticket under this conditions: only by phone, for same passenger, same routing and same airline. If I don't use it trough December 2018 I lose it.
So since April I am looking for an airfare in their website and several times I found flights to an specific price, and immediately call them to get a reservation, but unfortunately the employees of this business overprice the airfares when I mention my available credit. I feel like they have an advantage over me because they have my money. For example, yesterday I found a ticket for $628.06 and called them immediately but the agent told me "the price is $998 but we can gave you a special discount so your final price is $850". I told him "but the price in your own website is 628.06. Why are you overpricing it by phone?" and the agent "let me ask my manager..." after 15 min waiting he hanged up. I called them 3 more times and they did the same. Today, 24 hours later I am checking their website and the price keeps the same, in the same airline, same economy class and same routing. I think this is a robbery and a type of discrimination, If they don't want gave me a refund or a credit they should be honest. This company has the worst customer service I ever used. I'd never use it again."
"Do Not book with Explore Trip. The worst service i haved faced ever in my entire experience. I have booked a flight ticket which shows free of cancellation, and i called a representative and asked him i am trying to book so and so flight , can i cancel it any time ? He replied yes you can up to 24hrs before departure. I tried to cancel flight 4 days before. But they denied my request and in reply they are saying our bookings are non-refundable, none of our representatives would said to you like that and we have verified call records as well. As a customer right i have asked them can you prove that to me with by showing call recording o me? can you send a call record copy to me? or can you just put your speaker where you recorded it so that i will listen through phone? But they denied and spoke with with dontcare attitude . If the mistake is not with their side why are they hesitating for proving it? It was a bad experience for me , i dont buy a flight ticket in future with explore trip. I dont recommend Explore Trip to any customer.

"This is a absolute fraud company run from India...Stay Away folks absolutely astay away...when I purchased tickets I got email saying transaction denied...thus I purchased tickets directly from airline...later without my authorization exploretrip rechanged my credit card without my authorization...Kindly stay off this fraud company absolutely
"
"They canceled my flight without notifying me about it for weeks until I checked my bank account. They are a fraudulent company. They said the info didn't match my card, which is a lie because how did they withdraw the funds if they didn't match. Horrible customer.er service. Bunch of liars."
"SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM
Do not buy thickets from this company. You wont be able to purchase and they will call you to offer you tickets on double price. Customer service is very low and rude !!!"
"I recently purchased a flight from Toronto to Santa Marta, Colombia with Explore Trip. When I looked at my credit card statement after booking the flight, I noticed an unauthorized $72.25 charge to my account that is listed as AGENT FEE TRAVEL SERVCS. This is a problem for me as I do not remember being charged an agent fee while checking out and buying my ticket. Furthermore, my friend booked the exact same flight at the exact same time and did not get charged a $72.25 agent fee. Her credit card statement lists only the price of the flight. I'm very concerned that I have been scammed & am requesting a refund for the $72.25 that I was charged but am having difficult reaching customer service.
Update: I recently noticed on my card that I was also charged 9 dollars more for the exact same flight as my friend ($326 vs. $335). Is this how Explore Trip offers cheap flights? By scamming some of their customers? After contacting their customer service I received no real help & they continue to insist that they did not put those charges on my card. Either they took that money from my account or their website is poorly secured and compromised my credit card.
Update: Unbelievable. After spending many days contacting Explore Trip and attempting to resolve this issue, they promised to issue me a refund for the money they stole from me. I finally received the money today, however I was only returned $69 of the $82 they took. They offered no explanation for their theft nor did they issue the voucher they promised me for the trouble and stress I was put through. After reading other reviews, it seem I got off easy-- other customers claim to have been robbed of hundreds of dollars by Explore Trip! If you value your money and your peace of mind, do not use this "service"."
"Traveling home from Naxos, Greece two days ago with 5 people including a 3 year old, we arrived at the Naxos airport to find the airline (Sky Express) had no record of our tickets. Further, they had no room on any flights for days. We were forced to take a taxi to a ferry, buy 1st class tickets - all that was remaining - and travel to athens on a 6 hour (!) ferry, and then take another 30 minute taxi to our hotel.
How did this happen? Well, while standing in a 100 degree tiny office at the Naxos airport I called ExploreTrip for help AT MY OWN EXPENSE ($2/minute on my cell plan). I was told that the charge never went through for the tickets and then put on hold for 15 minutes to see what could be done. The agent NEVER CAME BACK.
WHEN I PURCHASED THE TICKETS THE EXPLORETRIP SITE SAID THAT THE CHARGE WENT THROUGH AND I NEVER RECEIVED ANY SORT OF FAILURE MESSAGE DURING THE TRANSACTION OR AFTER. In fact, I received a ticket conformation via email indicating tickets had been successfully purchased.
So this issue has cost me $450 plus (and more importantly) about 8 hours of my and my family's time while on vacation.
I have messaged ExploreTrip since and heard nothing back. This company is a scam as far as I can tell. Too bad in this day and age that this can happen."
"I booked 3 Tickets 7 months before my departure.
I had to cancel 2 tickets 72H before my departure for medical reasons.
I just asked my INVOICE, my confirmation of cancellation by written in a formal letter.
NOTHING YET! Means i m gonna loose my refund from my insurance because ExploreTrip does not give you any INVOICE and any letter stating that you have cancelled your tickets
AVOID THIS COMPANY!
The last thing they even refused to refund me Airport Taxes which are always refunded even if your fare is not refundable.
Stay away not Worth saving few $$ after you gonna loose much more
And to end up i finish my only ticket which i used on a português charter company instead of Corsair!"
"ExploreTrip is incredibly unscrupulous and completely unethical. They fraudulently claim to be accredited by the following: American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA), Airlines Reporting Corporation (ARC), and the International Air Transport Association (IATAN). However, they are not listed in any of these organizations' directories.
Further, they overcharged for a fare, due to a delay on their part of the booking process, which resulted in several hundred dollars more being charged than the original quote. They then relentlessly refused to refund the overcharge, and then avoided issuing the refund over the course of 4 weeks, numerous email, over 20 phone calls, and 10+ hours on the phone being given the runaround to the point of exhaustion. It was finally issued after the threat of reporting their behavior to state regulatory agencies.
Given how awful and unscrupulous they are, I want to warn people. DON'T USE THEM!"
"I used to manage a customer service call center so I understand that good customer service can be hard to provide. That being said, there is no excuse for how poorly my experience with ExploreTrip has been. I have been calling their customer service line on and off for 6 months. Each time, they promise me they are "looking into my inquiry" and "will call me back tomorrow". Not only do they never call me back (I confirm they have my correct contact information every time) but the last representative had the audacity to lie to me saying that my flight had been refunded back in december which never happened.
Everytime I speak to a representative, I write down their name. When I call back a couple days after their promised call never comes, the rep I spoke with is never available. I have to then re explain my situation every time and sometimes multiple times if they keep transferring me. Apparently there is no note taking system. I understand needing time to "review my case and get back to me", but blatantly lying each time I call is unacceptable.
I booked a trip to Kathmandu through ExploreTrip and was excited that they would help take care of directly booking through the airline. My flight was with China Southern and their website was confusing so I was glad ExploreTrip's website was easier to navigate. Bad move to go with them.
Long story short, the pilot of our departing plane hit a tow truck taxing out of the airport and flight gets aborted. Here comes the good part. China Southern issued a refund statement to all third party bookings (i.e. ExploreTrip). Instead of actually refunding my ticket, they have pocketed the money for a flight I never went on. This is the reason for having to call them relentlessly to get some kind of answer on the status after 6 months!
I have travelled all over the world using many third party bookings. Luckily I purchased insurance to get a fraction of what my flight cost but save yourself the time and heartache. Going with this very incompetent company will end up costing more in the end. "
