"Due to unavoidable circumstances, there was nobody at the delivery address at the time of delivery. A note to the driver was not left as it would have been an open invitation to burglars. I expected the driver to put a note through the door to say "tried to deliver & failed. Please ring....(phone number)... to arrange an alternative day & time. Instead the driver left the parcel under the doormat!"
