"Sometimes it’s not worth it to try and save a few bucks. I decided to give FaucetStop a try because: a) they had the part I was looking for, for a little less than some other online retailers, and b) their web page said it was “available for immediate delivery.” Well, guess what? They called me the day after I placed the order and asked if I was okay with the fact that the part wouldn’t ship for a couple of weeks. I thought I was being nice when I said, “Sure.” What no said to me was that this meant that the part was a special order item THAT COULDN’T BE RETURNED.
Look, I NEVER order plumbing parts that can’t be returned, because mistakes happen. And that turned out to be the case here. Even though the manufacturer (Rohl) supplied me with the part number, it turned out not to be the part I needed for my repair.
And here’s where things started to really go bad. I called FaucetStop, to make use of their “Hassle Free” return policy. That’s when they told me the part couldn’t be returned…unless they contacted Rohl and asked THEM to take it back. (Which I bet Rohl would do in a heartbeat. I’ve dealt with them myself. They’re nice people.) I asked the guy from FaucetStop to please do that. He said I would hear back from them “in a couple of days.” Well, I never heard from them again. So I emailed them, and eventually received an email under the heading “Return Authorization Request” that said, “Your ticket has been created.” So I mailed the part back to them….and heard nothing.
I finally had to file a claim with Paypal because, at the moment, I have neither the part nor my money back.
Let my experience be a lesson to you. Buy from someone else.
