"Ordered for a Christmas present. Made us gift givers look ridiculous. The box (which was the 'Editor's Choice' on the website for organic fruit) looks very different from what was actually delivered. One apple and seven citrus fruit for $9 each.
Goldbelly offered me a $15 gift certificate which is frankly an insult. I hope no one else gets burned like we did. "
"Any time I go somewhere else it is never enough hamburger but they know how to make a double meated cheeseburger here at Burger King. With these little burgers yay no more playing. This is based on actual experience in the place I live in here."
"I Ordered from Goldbelly A cake for Thanksgiving dessert. And 3 dps of Wagu beef. The cake NEVER came.Couldnt get hold of Ant Customer support.Last week January 2019,I received a box of RANCID beef apparently packed on November 21 2018.My 80 yr old mom unpacked and attempted to make the meat.IT of course was RANCID.YOUR COMPANT IS DISGRACEFUL."
"I am pleased with the response time to my request to change my order. Kim responded to my email within one day. I haven’t received my pizza yet so I will update after Thanko."
"I ordered a Cherry pie from Grand Traverse. It arrived warm, damaged and inedible. I wrote to FoodyDirect and they were extremely slow to reply. They offered me another pie, a credit or a refund. I ordered an Apple pie from the Little Pie Company. That arrived in perfect condition, cold and delicious. I wrote 4 reviews for the bad cherry pie, none were posted. I wrote a favorable review for the apple pie. That was posted the next day.
FoodyDirect is extremely slow to respond to emails, some will never be answered. Besides being lacks with emails, they are dishonest. They only post the reviews they choose. The brutality honest unfavorable reviews never get posted. Therefore, you never know which vendors are good and which to avoid. Its a gamble whether or not you'll receive an item worthy of it's price."
"They completely ignored my concerns and did not answer my emails. I requested expedited shipping so that an item would arrive before Easter and instead received a shipping notice that it was sent and would arrive 2 days after Easter. Total disregard for their customers! Never order from this company!!"
"I ordered cannoli from Ferrara’s bakery for a birthday celebration on Saturday. First of all, I was overcharged for shipping. There own site maps say $29 for this area, which is steep enough, yet I was charged $59. Two emails about it went unanswered. They were due to arrive on Friday by the end of the day. I was relieved to see that they had arrived in Louisville by 5:30 a.m on Friday. We are are about five hours from Louisville so I was sure they would be here. But never left Louisville. At the end of the day I received a notice of delivery delay from Foody
Offering a full refund. I sent a reply asking for the refund, then had to scramble to make something myself for the birthday. No reply from Foody so I sent a second email asking for a refund for the $129. No reply again. Now, on mid-day Monday they have arrived. The dry ice has evaporated and the box is warm. To add insult to injury I finally just got an email from Foody bragging about the delivery. I won’t try to reach them again. It is too frustrating. There is nobody home there. No human beings, and their robots can’t read or write."
"I ordered cannolis from Ferrara. There was no dry ice in styrofoam box and cream was cool. I hope family doesn’t get sick. "
"Not only did they ship on a day different from when requested, but food didn't arrive on the day they said it would. To add insult to injury, they then sent an email saying their shipment had arrived, when it still hadnt, and asking whether I was enjoying it. BTW, it still hadnt arrived, it's perishable and Xmas is around the corner. Never again!"
"Ordered a cheesecake with apple crumb topping on the 16th of November, well within their window to deliver by Thanksgiving and after receiving numerous updates claiming this was going to show up by Wednesday the 22nd. I was looking at an update yesterday claiming this cake is not showing up until Friday. It got here on time, so I am updating my review to compensate. I left off the last star because it was very frustrating to look at the tracking 5 days after it was ordered when it was supposedly going to be 2nd day air sent and one day before Thanksgiving to see that it hadn't left NJ and was expected to be delivered one day late. There should be better tracking available so people don't hit the roof or start making alternate plans. I almost bought another cheesecake to compensate which would have cost me a similar amount of money!
Glad it got here and hope it's as great as it looked in the photo."
"FoodyDirect is a ripoff. I'm a retired disabled veteran and this is how I was treated by this sorry axx company. They make shipping errors and blame the customer to keep from refunding the money. I had two orders that were from 2 different companied on the same ticket. Well, the first order arrived fine on a Thursday. On the next day Friday, I had two shipping compaines to call with an address correction, which was done (but the found it the day before). Still no order. On that Saturday morning the same problem. I asked not to accept spoineld food knowing that they only add one ice-package to each carton. The ordr was meats. Why would I accept spoiled maets that I paid $147.00 for? FoodyDirect thinks I should have accepted it because in their oonion nothing was wrong with it. This shipment had been in route for 3.5 days and two of those days in Southern Arizona in a desert community. They refused to refund. I am filing a complaint through the attorney generals office and the BBB. If that doesnt work, I would rather lose $2,000 on a lawyer just because I did nothing wrong. THese are the worse people I have ever dealt with. They only care about money. their customer service attitude **** 100%. If it was a choice between FoodyDirect and nobody, I will take two of the nobodys. "
"I ordered 2 trays of cookies, only one ever arrived. The one that did arrive was crumbled, broken stale. Sent pictures and was told that the 40 dollar tray of cookies I received looked ok. I guess they think it's ok to send broken, stale cookies or not send them at all and keep my money. A definite scam. "
"The food is not packaged properly. Received gift cards. Last July A hundred dollar roast arrived raw and warm to the touch with a tiny ice pouch at the bottom that was melted to hot water.
Today A hundred and twenty five dollars worth of cheese came warm and melted. Sausage warm too
They wont credit you back nearly full value. You cant actually reach a live person. Go elsewhere."
"Ordered two boxes of cookies from the same vendor (Patisserie Tomoko) -- everything would have fit into one shoebox,. Instead of charging me for one shipment (order was going to one address), they charged me for two shipments, so shipping charges alone were just under $20. It's a reasonable expectation that the shipment would be properly packed to ensure that the order arrived in good condition. Instead, they loosely packed the cookies with a couple of small air pockets in two huge boxes. Of course, the cookies arrived broken.
Called "customer service", explained the issue and requested a refund of the entire order amount. Sent pictures to document. After receiving no response, called them again and was told "it was in process". What was in process wasn't explained. Later the same day received an email which said that the cookies "looked to be in good condition" and offered me a 10% discount on my next order as compensation.
What a joke. Called them back again and told them that I didn't agree with their assessment and told them I had no intention of ever using their service again, thus the discount was useless. Their reply was that the cookies were fine, and that I should have expected them to arrive broken, and that they were still edible. Told them again that I still expected a full refund -- to which they said that "they would look into it".
So I wasted close to $90 for broken cookies that I could not use as gifts as they were intended for.
Total waste of money, Horrible customer service. "

I ordered a 4 Egg Casatella bread for my mom for Easter. The bread was delivered without ice of any kind even though the box stated perishable and it's common knowledge that eggs are not shelf stable. The packaging was a plain old box, nothing fancy. When I complained about this to customer service, it took them four days to reply and they 'made it right,' by offering me a 10% discount code on a future order. There will be no future orders. Don't waste your time with this site. P.S. The bread had no taste, but who really wants to eat a bread that was wrapped around spoiled eggs anyhow? I wish I had read this site before ordering!!!
