"Tried to use it for legit medical services abroad, in a cheap country, so that my refund would be less than the cost of insurance, and they refuse to pay on the excuse that the itemization for services provided is not standardized. An insurance that promises to work anywhere should know that multiple administrations abroad will have different standards in reporting expenses. But this is a very convenient excuse not to pay my refund. So, another insurance that only walks with your money. Will never use again."

"I purchased GeoBlue because I was going to be out of the country for the summer and wanted to have the security knowing that I would be covered if necessary. I did not expect to need it but only a few days into our trip, I fell and broke my shoulder. This meant an ER visit, x-rays, a CAT scan, a sling and medication until I could get home for a surgical repair of the fracture. Although GeoBlue had stated they would be able to help me find a hospital, they were not able to help me when I called them. I did find a hospital and got initial care so that I was reasonably comfortable getting home. I had given the hospital GeoBlue’s information because their literature stated they could coordinate payment with the hospital but this turned out not to be the case. After several phone calls, I ended up paying the hospital myself and seeking reimbursement from GeoBlue. This involved a number of phone calls to GeoBlue and the hospital obtaining all the forms and information needed to complete the forms in order to submit them which I did (in spite of my broken, immobilized shoulder). GeoBlue promised reimbursement within 30 days - after 4 phone calls, I did receive reimbursement after 2 months.
I gave them a 4 because they did eventually come through but I sure wish the process had been as smooth as it sounded when I opted to purchase the insurance!!"
