"A terrible company to deal with, rude arrogant customer service, when you can get hold of them, they do not answer questions .
I was told that my order would be dispatched within 24-48 hrs several times, it never was.
I was told excuse after excuse as to why it hadn't been shipped, that they were understaffed, that the staff member was just there to help out with the overload of work, that the owner has been hospitalised
I was told by 'Richard' that I should settle down when I asked for a second time for an order update, as he said, "it is only a cheap tablet from China I was buying" ( well Richard, that was US$260 of my money you were talking about)
The quickest response time was when I made a complaint via Paypal after getting no satisfaction from the company and was refunded within a day.
The company doesn't appear to be able to provide the tablets they advertise as being in stock and have no credibility at all.
Go to the website and read the forums to see more unhappy customers.
My advice is do not send these people your money.

"Claim to be a UK company but it is definitely all based out of China. First off their website states that they have a "Price Match Guarantee" - well this is a complete lie as they wouldn't price match their competitor pandawill. Anyway I continued to order the same product from iPadAlternative as I believed them to be a British company (and the tablet was only about (£10 more). The next issue was they claimed they didn't have the tablet in the colour I wanted - when I refused the colour suggested to me and asked for a refund they somehow managed to ship the colour I wanted next day? Strange. Delivery took about two weeks to arrive and came from China. There was then a problem with the tablet and their customer service is useless and never available. Finally after a few days got a response and told to ship back to China at my expense (Cost £27!). Am now waiting for a refund. I wonder how long that will take!"
"After extensive research in chinese tablets and websites i have found that ipadalternative is probably the only website that ONLY deals with tablets.
The rest of the websites sell test units because they have tablets available that have not even been released yet! I love the honesty of ipadalternative.com as they do not sell test units or units that may potentially be faulty, such as the new faulty Pipo M3 units.
I am glad I have purchased my Pipo Max M1 from them.

"It is only one impolite and rude person running the whole show. he is the owner and customer service. when he chat with me he hangup in my face because I did not complete the order with him.
later when I complain about his attitude in a forum he has a member in it, he replied in more sarcastic way.
This very low behavior I did not meat before from a "REAL" company customer service.
Stay away dont deal with rude person like that. if he did that because I did not order what will happen when I need warranty or refund of an item ??!!!"
"Oh dear! They look like a UK company with a UK phone number and they say they have an office in the UK. But they are Chinese and you will have to spend a fortune returning any faulty goods to Taiwan. Customer service awful. Responses to communications slow, if at all.
They promised to send me a tablet cases compensation for their mistakes and to give them a good review, but it never arrived!"

Well I finally got my tablet, and it's awesome! The "customs" charge was actually a sneaky charge put on by Parcelfarce, as the docket states "Import duty £0.00, Vat £9.06, Parcelforce handling charge £13.60" which works out they charged approximately 40% for vat.
Richard and the team are definitely no longer using Parcelfarce. They are sticking with DHL for express option. Instead of refunding my postage, I asked Richard to send me one of the Pipo cases, and he agreed, so it's all good.
I will definitely be buying from them again. :)

Well, obviously I'm cursed, as now the package is stuck with customs in the UK. It's been with them since 24th, according to the parcel farce website. This is in no way related to iPadAlternative.com, it's just an unfortunate coincidence. Since my last update on 24th, Richard from iPadalternative.com has contacted me.
He is very keen to resolve my issues, and as I said in my last update, he is going to refund the postage and has also offered me a $20.00 voucher against a future purchase, he is keen to improve the communications element, which was my biggest gripe, and I strongly believe it will improve. Richard first contacted me today to let me know my package was still sitting with customs, even though I was fully aware of the customs situation, it gave me confidence that he had kept an eye on my delivery and made the effort, so definitely a big win in my book, which is why I have changed my rating to a 4 out of 5.
Although I haven't got my tablet yet, my Mum has and I have to say the tablet is a sexy little number, well worth the buy. If you do buy from Richard and his team, make sure you select the DHL option, it does cost £15.00, but DHL are famed for international deliveries and offer a fully traceable service. Sadly, they cannot guarantee your package will not be delayed by customs.

Received email from ipadalternative.com, They have been having some problems with the parcelforce/EMS, which includes huge delays, and have removed the option from the site. I still haven't received the tablet yet, but they have agreed to refund my delivery charges in full.
I have also asked them to improve communication to customers, so hopefully there will not be any more reviews like this.

I have read the "good" reviews about ipadalternative.com and I honestly think they are written by the people that run the place.
I ordered a shiny new tablet on 3rd September 2012, and I am still waiting for it to arrive. I paid for express delivery and was quoted 4 - 5 business days at point of sale. I never recieved any kind of confirmation email.
So when it didnt arrive on the due date or thereafter (I gave it an extra day or so). I tried to call them, which is pointless by the way, as you hit an answer machine that tells you, nobody is available to take your call.
So I emailed them, 2 days later I get an email back, telling me, they were waiting for stock to come in and it would be despatched in 48 hours. Ok I can accept that, it happens, however, where was the communication to customers to say, "Sorry for delay, we're waiting for new stock" would have gone a long way to setting customer expectations. So I wait, and then I get an email on 13th Septemeber, telling me that my package has now been shipped (bit longer than 48 hours), and I receive a second email giving me a tracking number, (which doesn't work).
Then on the 18th, the tracking number works on Parcelforce's site, and it tells me that the package has been handed over to parcelforce in Singapore. It's now the 20th and the tracking info still says "handed over in singapore". So now it's been 17 days. I paid for express delivery, and it seems it's on a slow boat from china. I want my 11 quid back, that I paid for delivery.
Poor communication, poor customer service. Save yourself the hassle, go to one of the suppliers on amazon, they quote 28 days delivery, but at least they communicate.

There was a small delay initially due to stocking issues, however communication was excellent. They were very helpful and honest before I purchased the items, as a lot of companies are. But the after purchase support is some of the best I have experienced.
They are always there to help you with any questions, if they don't know an answer to your question, they will find it out before telling you anything. They are honest about stock levels and personal thoughts on each tab, even recommending cheaper products when its suited the best, which shows that the dollar value is not always first on their mind.
Very quick to reply to emails if they are not around in their live chat.
I would highly recommend people use this company to purchase tablets and other items from. I went through 2 different companies with bad experience before finding this company.
Out of the tablets we have so far, only 1 has had problems, this was not the company fault, they gave us details of what to try, and when they did not work, quickly got given details to return the product with no more questions or messing around. "
