I was contacted by Andy, VP of Sales at Markertek, and they are making this right by honoring the original purchase. Andy was very apologetic and and humble. He fully admitted that Markertek messed this situation up by handling it the way they did, and took the time to reinstate my order personally.
I ordered a pair of JBL LSR305 studio monitors on 11/14 for a great deal of $99.99 each. Markertek emailed me a day or two later to let me know they were on backorder a few weeks due to overwhelming demand (a little annoying, but no big deal). On 12/5 I got a message advising that the promo for $99.99 was not supposed to go live until Black Friday weekend, and they would be unable to honor it. Instead they offered $119.99 and gave me less than 24 hours to accept. This is obviously an unacceptable resolution to their error, so I emailed back and informed them as such. They responded by canceling my order without another word of communication."
