"I have purchased 4 Indio guitars, a strat, a telecaster, and two LP junior style customs.(66 V-2). They all sound good, play good, and were inexpensive what's not to like ? Smoothing a few frets is no big deal, I had to do that on one of them, you sometimes have to do that on $1,000 guitars.
Electronics are not top of the line, but work fine. If you go to companies like guitar fetish you can buy complete wiring harnesses with alpha pots which are what they put in the top of the line guitars for $30-$35 bucks
They all come with a padded gig bag which everybody else charges 40 or 50 bucks for, so you're getting a heck of a deal.
And if you get a scratch or a ding you're not going to cry like a baby... As the Brits would say, these things are made to go out and bash it out in the bars and have a good time.
