"At this point in the development of online retailers, it is difficult to believe this firm in business.
Put simply - found the precise drive that is compatible with my ASUS laptop, ordered and waited, and waited and waited. The so called express service took three weeks. A drive was eventually delivered but is fundamentally incompatible with my requirement (AND) it is broken. Go figure . But obvious to me that it was damaged before it was packaged. It is already more than a week with emails back and forth, and a call - with no positive action taken thus far. I have since discovered this firm is trading via a number of websites - which initially create a sense of nationality other than Chinese. Not much integrity in that. Lesson? I should have looked more closely before ordering a drive. Furthermore, on looking more closely at the drive sent, I am unconvinced it is OEM, rather some low quality copy. Perhaps I should send it to the "apparent" manufacturer and ask them to check. "

"** DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY ** Ordered a DVD drive form this company, on there website it said it would clearly fit my Dell Inspiron 15R 5537 and when it arrived it did not. It did appear they shipped the incorrect drive. The receipt even verified that I ordered the correct drive. I contacted there customer support, Of which took several email to get a response. They finally responded with an obtain to pay an additional 75.00 for another drive. I opted for a refund, once I mentioned the word refund, I never got another return email. Guess I am stuck with this drive I cannot use now. I will try to sell on ebay. Just so you know, I found the replacement drive on Amazon for 80.00 cheaper than what they were trying to get out of me. ** DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY !!!!!!! ** Just a warning. I'm really afraid to add shipping cost back to China, and not be assured of a refund at this point. They do not ship prepaid return labels or Return Authorization Numbers to ensure you get your money back.

"I can't understand how these people stay in business and selling to US customers - even from China. Their website clearly says "2-5 business days" shipping. I ordered my product and was charged over 25 days ago. I'm told by their customer service team that I should "be patient" and expect it to take at least another 7-10 days. Ridiculous. "I purchased a DVD drive for my Dell XPS laptop from mydvddrives.com. The drive only works sporadically and is clearly an inferior product. Trying to get a refund which requires you to pay to send the merchandise back to mainland China at a cost that's almost equal to the price of the Drive. DO NOT BUY from this site in my opinion."

"Very poor experience with this company. Wish I would of read the reviews on them before making a purchase. I made the order on 3 April got my conformation email saying my payment went through right after. I waited 7 days and emailed them asking if my order had been shipped because I hadn't received any information about it yet. The person that that wrote me back had a rude attitude and told me I needed to wait patiently. Patiently was going them 7 days to ship and get me the information. In the same email, they did get me the information saying it had been shipped though. The kicker is, it isn't from the US like the website said. It's coming from Singapore. "It took over 3 weeks for my external CD/DVD drive to arrive, which admittedly made me nervous, but it eventually came and the product was as advertised. So, I'm happy with the product, but the shipping process could use some work. "

"I ordered a BD-R/RE upgrade for HP DV7t-6B00 CTO laptop. The drive was back-ordered from Hong Kong but arrived within a day of original estimate in solid OEM packing. The quality LG OEM drive was installed and recognized transparently by Win7; all the existing OEM software & Blu-Ray playback still worked fine, with the addition of Blu-Ray write capability, as hoped. Tested it by writing a couple Blu-Ray data and movie disks which worked fine in other computers and BD players; perfect upgrade.

No problem communicating via email with mydvddrives.com; they responded quickly and their English language is good, and most importantly, they delivered! Many thanks.
