"I ordered a 512mb memory module from z-buy.com on the 21st, on the 24th I received an email stating that they cancelled my ordered. This is the email I received:
Dear Customer,
Thank you for your shipping at Z-BUY.COM
However, we have to cancel your order of the KINGSTON 512MB DDR.
This item is sold strickly for systems only.
No amount will be charged in your account.
Any question, please contact our customer service.
Sincerely,
Z-BUY Customer Service

First of all, "strickly for systems" makes no sense. I can only assume they mean you have to buy one of their barebones systems at the same time. The problem is that it is not advertised as such. Second, I have a hard time taking any company seriously when they do not even proof read their error messages.
Edit: Since this date I have received the company's newsletter in two of my email boxes. I have tried several times to unsubscribe using the link in the emails as well as emailing customer service directly, none of this has worked. I have recently submitted a complaint to the Michigan Attorney General's office regarding this company's spam."
"horrible customer support. they never email you about your purchase. you have to call everyday to keep tabs on it. this is so annoying, at a day and age where email is the standard, a reputible company must keep its customers up to date on when the purchase was made and when it was shipped, this is unexcusable."
"Fast Shipping, Item new in retail box as ad stated.
"
"removed the review... I need 50 characters so...... wasn't a bad purchase I guess."
"First time purchasing from these folks. Had the mobo I wanted for a good price. Must have gotten the last one in stock, because it disappeared from their site after I ordered, and when it arrived, it had a note on the box that it was not complete. It was missing I/O plate, cables, CD, etc. Called CS, told it would be sent. Hung up expecting never to see it, but to their credit, it arrived FedEx a couple of days later. Board has worked fine for over a month. Good price, good part, made up for their mistake. Can't ask for much more than that."
"I had a terrible experience with this seller. I bought a barebone from them, a good price, but I asked them what kind of condition it was in. They told me, the system is in new condition, it was set up for a system to be used for a seller, and they backed out, open box. So I say good, I order one. I get it in the mail, the case is dented, everything on the inside was disconnected, and the wire for the front led lights and power button were torn. I hook everything up to it, hit the power button, nothing. I reset the CMOS, go through the normal troubleshooting, anyway, bad system. I write them back, he tells me I will get an RMA, I get it then I say, I am not paying for this item to be shipped back, when you sent me a messed up system in the first place, oh no problem they said, we will refund your shipping costs just send it back, and we will get a copy of the reciept and refund it. They send me another system, everything worked great, they did try a little frankenstien job on this one, put a black case side that didn't go with this system, but it worked good. To this day, I have yet to hear from CS on my shipping refund. They are a small, POS hardware store, stay away! "
"A long time ago (1yr+) I ordered from this vendor with no problems. Recently I ordered from this vendor and have not received any information, shipping or otherwise! It has been almost a month! I have tried contacting this vendor by phone and email, with no avail. (the phone just rings). My credit card has not been charged so I guess no one is home.
BUYER BEWARE DO NOT SHOP AT THIS VENDOR!! or at least call to see if you can reach someone first."
"Very disatisfied with this vender, none of their contact email's work, all posted emails on webpage bounced, I could not find their phone numbers either. I tried to contact them because I ordered the wrong motherboard and wanted to exchange it for the one I really wanted. Now I have received the board and I don't want to send it back and have to pay a restocking and mailing fee, so I am forced to keep the board. I will never buy from this vender ever again. I learned my lesson. Before I purchase from now on, I will check to make sure that their is good contact information."
"Z-buy's RMA Dept came through for me on a item with a minor defect. They replaced a defective ati 9800 256mb video card. The minor defect was interference consisting of very small wavy lines. The lines were small but noticeable. Z-buy's handling of my complaint by replacing the video card made me a satisfied customer. I thought I'd share that here."
"No email or any type of confirmation after the inital confiramtion email. My order just disappeared. I ordered a "NVIDIA GF 6600 256MB PCX" video card. This is a bad bad company!"
"I ordered an optical drive from this merchant. They had it for a very competitive price. It arrived promptly and in perfect condition. No problems with my first experience with this retailer. "
"I bought a Radeon 9800 video card, and when I checked the confirmation email not only were there two items in the order, but there were two orders, for a total of four items. Apparently this is not an isolated occurence.
Their saving grace is that they quickly cancelled one order and changed the other so that only one card was shipped and charged (I had already called the credit card company to tell them unwanted charges might be appearing). Shipping was very fast, the card nearly arrived at my doorstep before the order itself was sorted out (Thanks, FedEx!). I installed it with no problems and it runs great.
The online ordering system needs some major work -- a visible shopping cart at the TOP of each page every step of the way would be a good start. I don't have much more to buy to finish upgrading my system, but anyone who purchases here might want to keep a close eye on their confirmation emails, and order early in the week so you don't have to wait until a Monday like I did to know everything worked out."
"I purchased a new ATI Radeon X800XT 256MB Platinum video card. I should have know there was going to be a problem, when i checked out, the web site automatically changed my quantity from 1 to 2, but Z-Buy took care of this problem with no problems, so far so good. A couple days later, here is my box. I open up the box to find another white box inside. I open the white box up, and find a buch of crap thrown into a box. This box contained some cables, a couple of disks, and a video card in a plastic bag. Not one sigle part looked new, nothing was in a sealed container or bag, not manual, no warranty cards, no registration or product cards, nothing but a bunch of parts tossed into a box. When you drop $500.00 on a new video card, one expects to get new stuff, in a sealed plastic container or bag that give one some assurance that the parts they are getting are new, and have not been previously used and returned, or refurbished. I have sent several emails so far, and i did finally get this response, "The item you purchased is an OEM item. OEM items do not come in a box and do not include any type of documentation." Of course, i have since sent several more explaining jus how ridiculas that is, since anyone knows that when ATI makes their high end cards, those bad boys are put into a sealed static proof bag, which is then put into a ATI box, not jus some box laying around on a selft, and then the whole package is then sealed up in plastic, with all the paperwork one would expect after buying a new $500 video card. It has been two days now, and still no response to my last 3 emails, so i am going to send the box of crap back to them, and dispute the payment with my credicard company, thank god for buyers protection on credit cards, since Z-Buy will not get back to me to resolve this problem professionaly."
"Order process was simple, product shipped within a day, and arrived a day early. I was happy with the service I got. "
"I've been ordering from them since mid-2004. Everything ships out quickly, and shipping charges are
reasonable. Unfortunately they don't offer free
shipping anymore, unlike they used to, but I guess
that's understandable since the competition hides some
of the costs in shipping costs. And that isn't
necessarily visible when doing price comparison.
Also, their inventory seems to have suffered in the
past few months. No longer as good of a selection
of products as they used to.
One time one of the items in my order got duplicated
for some reason. Apparently this has happened to
someone else too, maybe it's something with the web
site. I emailed them immediately, and got a response
soon too, noting that they adjusted the quantity."
