"I bought a Thinkpad power supply, thinking it was new. Their web site does imply that the parts are used, but it is not obvious. The item came well packed, but was not working properly. I used their online form to request an RMA but never heard from them. Later, I got the same thing (in better condition) for a third of the price from another shop."
"Buyer Beware. At first I thought these folks were very helpful trying to track down a replacement fan for my T61 Thinkpad. I was under the impression I was getting a new or refurbished part. They use verbiage like "Genuine" etc. and never mention the words "used" or "salvaged".
The part I had was a genuine Lenovo part however the fan looked in worse condition than the one I replaced and the heat sink still had old compound on it. Desperate to get my laptop running I installed it and it is working adequately but when I emailed Bill Schaufele to ask about the price and the condition of the part his excellence in customer service stopped and haven't heard from them since they cashed the check. In searching for a battery for my Thinkpad I found another site called notebookparts.com and they advertise my old fan for $10 more than ACS and certify it to be a new and genuine FRU for my Lenovo Thinkpad however the ratings on this site mention similar horror stories that I just had with ACS... If anyone knows where I can get good quality Lenovo parts please contact me. Maybe I will get in the part business."

"Excellent service. I ordered a Thinkpad motherboard (next day shipping) late in the day on Tuesday, and it shipped within an hour or two. It came the next day, but did not seem to work with my machine. I requested an RMA number online, claiming that the board was DOA. The ACS tech people worked with me via email and it was determined that in fact it was not DOA, I had simply ordered the wrong board. So I got an RMA number, and the correct part was shipped immediately. They even waived the restock fee on the RMA'd part and suggested a cheaper method of shipping. By Friday, I had a working board.
The only downside is that they can be a bit difficult to reach on the phone, and if you do get through, it's menu-hell."
"I purchased a laptop battery from Advanced Computer Services. My order was shipped the same day, and arrived a couple of days later, as promised. Unfortunately, I mistakenly ordered the wrong item (my error). I contacted ACS via email and immediately received an RMA number to return the first battery. They also advance shipped the correct battery. I was only charged the incremental price of the correct battery and the additional shipping charges. i was impressed with the rapid response I received from them, as well as the great email communications through the efficient return process."

The seller sent me one e-mail with an order confirmation and never responded to my three attempts at contacting them via e-mail to find out my order status. It did shipped 3 business days after I ordered.
I ordered a 5-pack of cards and received a single card. I am currently trying to get a hold of their customer service to facilitate a return of this card for a full refund.
I had to call customer serivce twice. After the first time (on hold for 15 minutes) I talked to a person who told me that the part number was a single pack, despite what it said on their website. I am just glad I wasted 5 days and the opportunity to get my product for a lot less on e-Bay, as well as some extra time for shipping it back.
It is hilarious to see that the website mentions 5 pack six times, but I get a single item."
